Liam Gallagher’s new band will produce ‘best record in 50 years’

Former Oasis rocker Liam Gallagher has said his new band’s album will be the ‘best record you’ll hear for the next 50 years’.
Gallagher, 37, made the claim while at the launch of the first store that is selling his Pretty Green clothing collection.
His new band, Beady Eye, also features his former Oasis bandmates Gem Archer, Chris Sharrock and Andy Bell.
Speaking to Sky News, he said: “Everything we do isn’t a flash in the pan otherwise there’s no point in doing it.
“I’m not here to sell papers or get a little headline, but if we’re gonna do something we are gonna do it proper, whether it’s music, film, clothes, drink or whatever it is. We don’t fart about.”
Speaking about their debut album, he said: “[It will be] the best record you’ll hear for the next 50 years.”

Simon Cowell: I have huge respect for Ellen DeGeneres

Simon Cowell has said he respects Ellen DeGeneres’ decision to leave American Idol.
DeGeneres, 52, announced yesterday that she was leaving the talent competition after just one season.
And Cowell, a former judge on the show, has implied that he thinks she has made the right decision.
The 50-year-old media mogul told the Hollywood Reporter: “As I got to know Ellen, I grew to really, really like her.”
He added: “I have huge respect for her because she’s always been in control of her own destiny.”
It is not yet known who will replace Cowell, who left the show in May to start work on the US version of X Factor.
Recent reports in the media have claimed that singer Jennifer Lopez and Aerosmith star Steven Tyler could soon be taking their seats on the judging panel.

According to Katy, London is the city where she would like to live, because she is amazed by everything happening there. Her fiancé, Russell Brand lived in London before moving to Los Angeles to live with Katy. Even if the beautiful singer would love to live next to the Big Ben , she’s not very thrilled by England’s rainy weather. This is a quite big impediment for Katy, given the fact that She’s from California, where sunny days are predominant.

Bow Wow and Sean Kingston bring their collaboration from the studios to our TVs. The two of them released today the video to the song “Put It On My Hood”. The song is included on the soundtrack of the movie Bow Wow is playing in, “Lottery Ticket”, and it might also be included on the artist’s new album “Who Is Shad Moss?”. In the song, besides Kingston’s voice, you can also hear DJ Khaled who also has a short role in the video. In “Lottery Ticket” Bow Wow plays the role of Kevin Carson, who won 370 million dollars at the lottery. The movie’s premier will be on the 20th of August in the United States.

Kanye West has a new music video coming out next week for his new song ‘Power’. Director Marco Brambilla recently spoke to the NY Times about the video saying “[The video is] a very exaggerated hyper-sensational version of what the song is saying. But at the same time, it has this fallibility to it. Because built into the story is that there is an ultimate fallibility, in bringing someone back down to earth at the end of the piece. That kind of contradiction, hopefully, will create the tension within it.” I can’t wait to see it! After a long quiet time, the rapper is finally back on the scene!

Never-before-seen images of rock legends Bon Jovi cavorting in bed with naked models and meeting Michael Jackson have been published in a new book.
The revealing photos of the rockers, when they were young and just starting out in the music industry, have been released by the group’s original tour manager Rich Bozzett as part of his revealing memoir, Sex, Drugs And Bon Jovi.
Most startling for the clean-cut rockers are the early shots of them lying on a bed pretending to cavort with the topless models.
Bozzett, who travelled with the band in the 1980s as they rose to fame, said: “Jon [Bon Jovi] has never wanted to talk about the band’s early years, but now his fans can finally read – and see through never-before-released photographs – what life on the road was like.”
He added: “I lived with the band and saw it all – from the incredible fan support to how Jon and the band dealt with the drugs, alcohol and sex that were part of that world.”
The book charts the group’s path to success, from their first performances as an opening act in front of a few hundred people, to selling more than 130 million records and performing for more than 34 million fans worldwide.

Back in May, Dane Cook was under fire when he reportedly threatened American Idol reject Ian Bernardo after the contestant stole the microphone from him at the live finale. The wannabe singer claimed that the comedian and his manager made some offensive comments about his sexuality and threatened him. Now, Ian has filed a lawsuit against the show for $300 million. According to the documents, Ian alleges that the producers were behind his behavior and instructed him to be outrageous during the event. However, he said that they did not support him after the incident with Dane. This is so lame.

President Obama sings with Sir Paul McCartney

President Barack Obama had a sing-a-long with Sir Paul McCartney at the White House after presenting the former Beatle with America’s highest musical award.
The stellar concert to present Macca with the Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song was held in Washington last month and was screened for the first time on American TV on Wednesday night (July 28).
President Obama, whose wife Michelle and daughters Malia and Sasha were in the audience, said: “It’s hard to believe that it’s been nearly half a century since four lads from Liverpool landed on our shores and changed everything overnight.”
Sir Paul said: “There could not be a greater place for my band and I to play. It is an incredible honour. Not only to receive this award but to perform in front of this President.”
He opened the event with his song, Got to Get You Into My Life.
After that a host of stars performed his other tunes, including Stevie Wonder, The Jonas Brothers, Corrine Bailey Rae, Elvis Costello and Dave Grohl.
To finish, Sir Paul led a rendition of Hey Jude in which all the VIP guests and stars joined in.

Joe Jonas and Twilight beauty Ashley Greene reportedly split the bill during a recent dinner date.
The pair were allegedly spotted enjoying their second date at the Californian restaurant The Alcove but they split the tab.
A source said: “Joe and Ashley both paid individually. They had a moment of ‘let me get it, let me get it’ where they both reached to get the bill, but ended up paying their own way.”
The two youngsters reportedly talked and ’seemed to be enjoying each other’s company’ but didn’t seem to be that close.
The source added: “There was no hand-holding, no flirting, no closeness. They sat across from one another, not next to each other.”

Justin Bieber almost got trampled by a crazed group of teenage girls. This happened on the 25th of July, three days ago, in Glendale, Arizona. Justin was about to perform in an hour, and he was riding around with a friend of his. There was no security, Justin was practically alone. Bad move, Justin! It was enough for one fan to see him and so in the next second a crowd of screaming girls were trying to catch Justin and almost trampled him! Girls, if you want to still see him sing, be more gentle, don’t kill him, please!

Rihanna recently had an interview where she talked about the bachelorette party that she’s planning for Katy Perry. The 22-year old Barbadian singer said “It’s taking up way more time than my tour. It’s so much pressure. Her wedding is probably going to be the best wedding I’ll ever go to and now I have to match the bachelorette party to that.” Rihanna also shared her thoughts as to how wild the party is going to get saying “I could have balloons and Disney characters there and she’ll still make it wild. That’s just Katy Perry. There’s no way around that with her.”

Elton John and Eminem are quite the odd couple. The iconic singer and the comeback rapper originally paired up for a Grammy performance several years back and Eminem even credits Elton for helping him get clean a few years ago. Who would have thought that they would still be in touch? During a recent interview, Eminem revealed “Elton John calls me once a week. He used to tell me stuff like, ‘You’re going to start seeing certain things you’ve been overlooking’. And it came true. I’d walk around like, ‘Damn, that tree does look crazy, look at all those leaves!’ Things I didn’t notice when I was f**ked up.” I’d imagine that Elton is a great supporter.

Rumors about Wyclef wanting to candidate for presidency appeared in 2007, when he was named ambassador of the Caribbean, by Rene Preval. Wyclef has an endless devotion to his home country and it’s young generation. It does not matter if he’s going to be a part of the new government or not, he will support his country in the future.

Glee stars Cory Monteith, Mark Salling, Chris Colfer and Kevin McHale will be co-hosting the Teen Choice Awards next month.
The four actors, who play the roles of Finn, Puck, Kurt and Artie, will be co-hosting the bash along with California Gurls singer Katy Perry on August 8.
Actress Sandra Bullock, 46, is expected to attend along with New Moon stars Robert Pattinson and Ashley Greene.
Gossip Girl actress Leighton Meester will also be presenting a gong at the ceremony.
Jason Derulo and Travie McCoy are both up for awards at the ceremony and will also be performing.

Christina Aguilera recently premiered her new music video for her latest single ‘You Lost Me’. The 29-year old powerhouse singer recently caught up with ET during her video shoot and dished on her inspiration for the video. Christina said “What I wanted was a very raw and real feeling, kind of falling apart of your whole world. I have to credit Sia for coming to me with this idea and this concept in general!” The pop star also said that she’s channeled emotions from her past experiences to inspire her. She said “I draw upon pain of other situations from my life to put into storytelling….pain is almost a comfort zone for me.”

Justin Bieber was arrested. The singer uploaded on Twitter a picture of him from the shootings of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Justin will appear in one of the episodes of the series and will play the role of a troubled teenager that will have to take a terrible decision regarding his brother. “I told you I’m a bad person” commented Justin on his own picture. According to the CSI representatives, Justin’s role will not be a minor one. He will take an important decision. CBS representatives declared that they chose Justin because he is a phenomenon.
Guitarist Phil Collen weds for a third time

Def Leppard guitarist Phil Collen has married for a third time.
Collen, 52, wed Helen Simmons, 42, on the beach of the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Manalapan, Florida. It was the same spot where he proposed last August.
The musician told The New York Times, “I knew she was ‘the one’ within an hour of meeting her.”
The father-of-three even wrote a song ‘Seven Minutes’, which is a reference to the time he says it took him to persuade his new love to marry him.
“I knew I would need more than 5 and I figured 10 would be too long,” he explained. “I needed to say what I had to say but in a way that she wouldn’t think I was a nut case.”
Simmons says that the now clean-living rocker’s stardom had nothing to do with her decision to tie the knot.
“I’m a Michael Jackson fan,” she said. “I didn’t even know who he was.”
