Amy Discusses Marriage and Departures

On a post in the message board of Evanescence Amy Lee talked about her marriage and the fact that two members of the band left. She considered her marriage to be “the most incredible thing to happen in my life so far” but seemed to be sad in her words on the other topic at hand. The entire incident is categorized by the singer as discovering “the fact that I was unable to defend myself for a week was taken advantage of quite a bit.”
Earlier this month guitarist John LeCompt left the band together with drummer Rocky Gray and it seems that, according to Amy Lee, “both made it clear they were ready to move on” and “were very vocal about the fact that they didn’t really care about Evanescence at all and just stayed around for the money. They were miserable. They are no longer playing with us because I love this band too much to see it driven into the ground.”
The two were replaced by Troy McLawhorn and Will Hunt (former member of Dark New Day) and Amy also added that Gray was fired and did not quit as he kept saying.
