Pop star Lily quizzed by police

Lily Allen sang for the crowds at this year’s Glastonbury Festival
Pop star Lily Allen has been questioned by police over an alleged assault on a photographer outside a nightclub.
The 22-year-old singer attended a police station in central London by appointment on Thursday.
She was freed on police bail after she was quizzed about an alleged assault on a male photographer in his 40s near the Wardour club in London’s Soho in March.
A Scotland Yard spokeswoman said a woman arrested over an alleged assault had been bailed to return in late July.
Ms Allen built up a following via her MySpace page before releasing her debut single, Smile, which topped the chart last July.
The star, daughter of actor Keith Allen, recently performed on the main stage for crowds at the Glastonbury Festival.

Talk about over saturation. Joe Simpson is not doing anything to help his daughter’s cause of not being a whore especially if she’s being a media whore.
Jessica Simpson already has her name licensed for clothing lines, shoes, edible make up and dare I say it, music. But she’s announced on Wednesday that she is coming out with her on perfume in conjunction with Parlux.
I’m officially putting her in the same category as Kevin Federline and Sanjaya Malakar. You know – the type of people that just won’t go away despite you wishing and wishing for the earth to open up and swallow them whole.

Alanis Morissette has never looked better. With straightened and lightened hair framing her happy face, she is looking hot!
Perhaps her smile that has been perennially displayed on her face these days are because of one Matthew McConaughey. They’ve been spotted hanging out at the beach and even showed up at the Xavier Rudd concert at the El Rey theater together.
If something is up between those two, I want to know how the heck that happened. I’m confused because of it. I don’t know what they have in common. I doubt anyone does. Apart from being hot, really… what do they have?

Kelly Clarkson took the stage on ABC’s ‘Good Morning America’ summer concert series in New York City’s Lincoln Center on Tuesday morning. She performed a four-song set including her flops of singles ‘Never Again’ and ‘Sober’ along with the more popular ‘Behind These Hazel Eyes’ and ‘Since You’ve Been Gone’.
Her album just dropped and not even her slightly belly-baring top would help get it out of the list of flops. I feel for her. I think if Sanjaya releases an album right now, he’d get more buys than her.
That’s a sad story when hair beats out your voice.

At her press conference in Shanghai, Christina Aguilera went from talking about her ‘Back to Basics’ tour to talk about her interest in acting. “I am looking forward to moving into another form of what I feel is another creative outlet for me and that would be acting. It is something that, when I attempt to do it, I want to do it right so it’s important for me that I do choose the right first role for myself.”
She’s reportedly been looking at several scripts already. Someone please remind her of history. Show her clips of Mariah’s Glitter and Britney’s Crossroads. That should put a stop to it.
Diddy Says Cassie Hasn’t Been Dropped — She’s Just Busy With Kanye, Pharrell

‘When you’re a label, you have to be with people through good times and bad times,’ mogul says of singer’s rough patch.
Diddy says he didn’t drop Cassie. While replying about all the rumors on the urban-music blogs that started sprouting last week saying that singer/model Cassie had been released from Bad Boy Records.
“Cassie’s definitely not dropped from Bad Boy,” Sean Combs said on the L.A. set of a video for his next Press Play single, “Through the Pain” (see “Diddy Shows Off New Stuff From Yung Joc — And Himself, Of Course — At NYC Event”).
“She’s in the studio [working on her next album]. So many people are excited to be working with her. … She was just in the studio with Kanye West. She’s going to be doing some stuff with Pharrell. People really understand that she does have some talent and it takes some time to mold it. Everybody’s not perfect. I think she had some rough shows, just being nervous. Sometimes people have to break out of that.”
In addition to recording her next LP on Diddy’s label, Cassie is also one of the new spokes models for the Sean John women’s collection, along with “ATL” actress Lauren London. “It’ll be out in the next four weeks,” Diddy said of the line.
“Through the Pain” was the first of two videos Combs shot this week. On Thursday (June 21) he goes in front of the camera for “Diddy Rock.”
Lack of Faith in Bush

Country singer and one of America’s sweethearts Faith Hill was in the Yorkville area of Toronto this past weekend. While shopping around, she found a wacky bumper sticker that says ‘WTF?’ with a picture of America’s president George W.
Faith laughingly held the sticker up for paparazzi to catch. She is a resident of Mississippi and it should be noted that she was quite critical of Dubya with the whole disastrous hurricane Katrina cleanup.
Apparently, she’s not done trying to tell him off. Have at him girl. Show him who’s the boss.
We should change his name – instead of Dubya it’ll be Dumbya.
Madonna ‘Hooked’ To Age Defying Cream

In show biz all that matter is how young you look at 55, use Botox injections or use age defying creams but you have to consistently look 25 something, to remain the in and hip thing in the business, coz you ultimately gotta sell yourself as a commodity. Pop diva Madonna who has lately been criticized for looking scrawny and gaunt, is hooked on an age-defying Israeli skincare product. The 48 year old pop diva, was overjoyed when her kabbalah mentor Karen Breg told her about a ‘rejuvenating’ product which helps keep lines and wrinkles at bay. It was as if she had found her messiah. Well the next time we see her performing we all know the reason for her looks, it’s a age-defying skin cream and we thought she has some natural gifts. Madonna is hooked to the cream and we are hooked to her music, bet ya there’s more to come from the singer if she has the power of that cream on her body.

If there was a hell, hearing Avril’s revelation coupled with things that have already happened would be it. The world is subject to suffering because Avril Lavigne has plans to follow in the footsteps of fellow blondes Ashlee and Jessica Simpson.
According to Avril, “I want to do other things also, outside of music — have some fun with acting and do a couple of movies. I have one scene in a coming movie called The Flock, starring Richard Gere, and I’ve done a couple of small things, but now I’m looking to do a big part.”
She’s hardly good at singing. Are we prepared to see her completely sucking as an actress too?
Justin Does Madonna

It has been known that Justin Timberlake would be collaborating with Madonna for the pop icon’s forthcoming album. And for the first time, JT is talking about it, specifically on the direction of their sound.
According to JT, “Some of the dance stuff hasn’t the in-your-face energy of Hung Up but it’s got this mellow R’n’B thing on top of dance accompaniment which Timbaland is doing the beats for. It’s all still in demo phases and I don’t know if it’ll be an album but four or five songs will make really good records.”
It sounds like Madonna and her producers are looking to go back in time. It sounds like some of her early 90s work… a far cry from her latest release of dance tracks.
Nut Job Britney Billboards

Britney is going nuts! Well, not really.
Her high powered attorneys were on the attack over some offensive billboards. The singer is fuming over a series of ads for a wacky morning radio host in Florida, which uses her bald-headed fuming image along with the headlines ‘Certifiable’, ‘Shock Therapy’, and ‘Total Nut Jobs’. Spears is apparently still sensitive about her mental condition.
Her lawyer addressed a lawyer for Clear Channel Communications, the parent company of the radio station asking for the billboards to be removed and they have much to the dismay of the radio host.
Hey, when you deal with an insane pop star, things can get a little zany.
Joss Stone’s “diva demands

Joss Stone is becoming something like a diva, a British tabloid announced after the singer issued an 11-page list of demands ahead of her appearance at a music festival.
The Devon celebrity has told the organizers of this year’s Knowsley Hall Music Festival that she wants 12 de-thorned roses for the Liverpool gig, the Sun reports.
The other peculiar claims are a request for American salad dressing Miracle Whip and a reminder that the singer will only eat in china plates arranged on a table cloth, the newspaper reveals.
This list of diva-like demands is something unusual for Joss. She seems carefree and has built an image of a down to earth entertainer.
Perhaps the fact that Stone is to appear at the festival alongside The Who’s legendary performers Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey has gone to her head.
On her website the singer tells her fans that she is expecting to “have a lot of fun” at the festival where The Zutons and Keane are also due to play.
However a representative for Stone has denied that the singer has been enjoying regal company of late after the Daily Mirror reported that she had struck up a close friendship with Prince William.
The prince wanted to talk with the singer about the forthcoming concert in memory of her mother in which she will participate too.
“They talked about what songs she is going to sing at the concert and that gets translated into a story about how William has been bombarding her with calls,” said Stone’s spokesman Dave Woolf.”
Jon Bon Jovi On Richie Sambora’s Rehab

With the amount of stress music stars all go through in daily life its no surprise that some of them end up either in the rehab or a few in a jail for breaking laws due to over heating of the anger/stress that plagues them. Being a successful music band and having a whole lot of wealth certainly does mean you are going be happy. Events that are out of your control can sometimes disturb you. Jon Bon Jovi has been very nice in speaking so wonderfully on the Rehab that guitarist Richie has checked into and speaks volumes about the relationship the two share in between. Sambora recently entered a Californian clinic treatment following reports of a shambolic performance at a recent TV performance, and Jon says Richie is coming along slowly. Jon says the recent death of Sambora’s father and split from Denise Richards have been a contributing factor behind his problems. When all these incidents coincide together it can be really difficult handling the situation and then there are two kids who are growing they too need attention. Things will certainly get better for Richie and there shall most certainly be happier times ahead.
Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin and Carlos Santana Unite to Perform in ‘Dream Concert’

Music legends ARETHA FRANKLIN, STEVIE WONDER and CARLOS SANTANA will come together on the same stage for a September concert to raise funds for a MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. memorial to be built on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. Quincy Jones, Russell Simmons and Tommy Hilfiger are organizing the Dream Concert, which will be held Sept. 18 at New York’s Radio City Music Hall.
The Radio City Music Hall gig in New York City on 18 September (07) will feature performances from Wonder, Franklin, Santana, Robin Thicke, Bebe Winans, Cece Winans and Jessye Norman. More acts are to be confirmed. Actor Affleck, basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal and American football star LaDainian Tomlinson will form host committee at the event, which will be hosted by U.S. TV weatherman Al Roker. The Martin Luther King Jr. memorial will be built on the National Mall in Washington.
According to the Web site for the foundation organizing the event, the concert will be comprised of music that crosses genre lines and will bring together musicians who wouldn’t often perform on the same stage together.
Will Spice Girls Reunite?

Mel C, who had opposed a reunion of the Spice Girls, told on Friday that she has warmed to the idea of a reunion of the all-female band. “For the first time ever, there is some truth in the rumors. We’ve been discussing it and it could possibly happen,” the 33-year-old singer, known as Sporty Spice, told British Broadcasting Corp. radio.
However, she added: “If the Spice Girls were to get back together it would be for a very short space of time. It would be a final goodbye and a `thank you’ to all the fans all over the world.” Rumours have swirled for some time about a possible Spice Girls comeback, but it was thought that Chisholm was the last member of the quintet still resisting the idea.
Geri Halliwell(Ginger Spice), Melanie Brown(Mel B and Scary Spice), Melanie Chisholm(Mel C), Emma Bunton(Baby Spice) and Victoria Beckham(Posh Spice) dominated British pop music in the late 1990s, becoming the UK’s most successful all-female group.
