Britney Spears was seen stopping by Conway Recording studios in Los Angeles last week. Do you remember a piece of news last year about Britney recording with her ex Justin Timberlake? I wonder if that can still be done. It would be hot if it happened. The former couple was actually supposed to work together and record a duet for her ‘Blackout’ album but the then troubled pop star failed to show up. The piece of news even said that it would be her comeback if it did happen. Well, she’s more poised to make a comeback this year. Maybe it can still happen.
50 Cent Acting Shady

According to new reports, 50 Cent has still not talked to arson investigators about the massive fire that engulfed his Long Island home that he and his baby mama had been fighting over. Reports say that a fire official said investigators could not reach a conclusion for the investigation partly because the rapper has not met with the arson squad. Another source says that 50’s unavailability is holding up the case big time but they’re not sure exactly why he can’t be reached. However, there’s no deadline required for him to meet with the investigators. You have to wonder why he’s taking his time with this thing. Why not just get it done and over with already.
Amy Winehouse to put on firework display for hubby

Amy Winehouse is planning a fireworks display for her incarcerated husband Blake Fielder-Civil.
The ‘Rehab’ singer, who is reportedly set to check into rehab near the prison where Blake is being held, wants to put on a display which they can both watch from their separate institutions to show her husband how much she loves him.
A source said: “Amy loves fireworks and always makes a big deal of bonfire night. It’s the reason that she released the deluxe edition of ‘Back to Black’ on November 5 last year. Blake’s a big fan as well. So she thought it would be wonderfully romantic to put on a show that he can enjoy through his barred window, knowing that she can see the same thing.”
The ‘Rehab’ singer is to enter the Focus 12 Clinic in Bury St. Edmonds, Suffolk, which is just 15 miles from Highpoint Prison, near Newmarket, where Blake is serving his sentence for grievous bodily harm and perverting the course of justice.
Amy was reportedly told to seek help following a shambolic performance at the Virgin Mobile V Festival last weekend.
Bobby Brown Needs Work

It’s time for Bobby Brown to book a few more reality gigs to get some money as he is reportedly being sued by his divorce attorneys. According to TV’s Extra, the singer is being sued for $90,217.60. while that’s not a big sum compared to what Britney has to pay for her attorney, it’s a lot considering Bobby hasn’t had a decent job in a while. In court papers filed in the Los Angeles Superior Court, it states that previous charges and late penalties are due to Brown’s lawyers for their services during his divorce from Whitney Houston in 2007. Divorce is hard on the wallet.
R Kelly Lawsuit

R Kelly may be done with his kiddie porn trial but he is now facing more legal woes. This time, he’s on the lawsuit-filing side. The singer is reportedly mad after a nightclub allegedly used his name and image to promote and event without ever getting his signature on a contract. R Kelly claims two promoters for Sugar nightclub put his name and face on fliers falsely advertising that he was set to host one of their parties. He says he knew nothing about it. Kelly wasn’t asking for any specific amount in the suit but he did say that he’s seeking enough relief to “stop defendants’… disgorgement of ill-gotten gains”. Someone’s been reading the dictionary.
Master P Does a Diddy

Diddy called and he wants his gimmick back. According to a new press release, you can say goodbye to Master P and say hello to P. Miller. The rapper says “I am changing my name because Master P is who I used to be, I call it my childhood and P. Miller marks my manhood… There are a lot of people out there, who are afraid to grow up and change, but I’m not and P. Miller is the evolution of me, Percy Miller the entrepreneur, the businessman.” You just have to love what people in Hollywood do for just a little bit of publicity.
Never-Ending DMX

When it comes to DMX, it’s pretty much normal when you find out that he is once again in trouble with the law. The rapper has pissed off a judge by failing to show up for a pre-trial conference. The judge is holding the bench warrant until 4PM on Tuesday to give his attorney time to provide the court with information regarding the location of the rapper as well as reasons for the non-appearance. DMX’s bond has also been raised to $25,000. The rapper is facing 11 counts including drug possession and animal cruelty charges in connection to an August 2007 raid of his Arizona home.
Lil Kim Back to Work

Sometimes we forget just who people really are because of all their antics and the fact that they haven’t done what they’re really famous for in a while. Just to remind us all, Kimberly Jones is still a rapper even after being incarcerated. The artist known as Lil Kim recently took to the stage for one of her first proper shows in a long time. The rapper who likes to call herself the Queen B performed at the Way Out West music festival in Gothenburg, Sweden. Who knew people actually listen to her over in Sweden? I wonder if she performed any new material while she was there.
Usher is Mama’s Boy Again

Us is reporting that it looks like Usher is rehiring his mama Jonetta Patton as his manager and cutting ties with music big shot Benny Medina. Rumors have been swirling that Usher was pissed off that his latest album did middling numbers and cut the cord with Benny only to reattach one to his mom who had been his manager until last year. Back then, the speculation was that he ditched his mom because she and his wife Tameka Foster didn’t get along. Well, Tameka better get used to having the in-law around because Jonetta actually helped her son make the money that feeds Tameka.
Mary J. Bilge Gets Sued

Reports have surfaced that Mary J. Bilge is being sued for $2 million in federal courts. A producer is claiming that the music used in the R&B diva’s tune ‘Work That’ is his and that he never gave any permission for his music to be used in the song. The reports also say that it’s unclear whether Mary J knew that the music wasn’t appropriately sourced. If that’s the case then she may be given the clear. But aren’t lawyers supposed to check all that stuff out before a record is released? Someone needs to do a lot of explaining.
Britney Spears set for MTV comeback

Britney Spears is looking back to her old self and it seems the people who matter are taking notice.
Bosses at MTV could be set to ask her to return to September’s Video Music Awards (VMAs) despite her disastrous performance just 12 months ago.
She gave a dreadful and out of time rendition of single Gimme More at the bash in Las Vegas. She was later spotted crying backstage.
So could Brit be set for her second “comeback” in as many years?
MTV president Van Toffler revealed: “Everyone deserves a second or third chance, right?”
Let’s hope Britney gets it right this time. Otherwise she might not get that third and final strike before she’s down and out.
Obama Not for Ludacris

It looks like Barack Obama is going to have to push away another one of his supporters. Ludacris has just released a new rap where he calls Hillary Clinton a “bitch” and says that John McCain “don’t belong in any chair unless he’s paralyzed” and even throws insults at Jesse Jackson and George W. Bush. An Obama campaign spokesman issued a statement condemning Luda saying “As Barack Obama has said many, many times in the past, rap lyrics today too often perpetuate misogyny, materialism, and degrading images that he doesn’t want his daughters or any children exposed to. This song is not only outrageously offensive to Senator Clinton, Reverend Jackson, Senator McCain, and President Bush, it is offensive to all of us who are trying to raise our children with the values we hold dear. While Ludacris is a talented individual he should be ashamed of these lyrics.”

The Jonas Brothers partnered up with Bayer Diabetes Care is a press conference at the W Hotel in New York City on Wednesday to encourage young people to proactively manage their diabetes. The youngest of the group, 15-year old Nick has this condition. The Jonas Brothers continue to be a popularity juggernaut with fans doing all sorts of crazy things just to get a piece of them. And who would be surprised? With how popular they are in the music scene, their good looks and not to mention, their good hearts, the boys are pretty much the most eligible young bachelors around.

Carrie Underwood has just released a new video for her new single ‘Just a Dream’. It’s the fourth single from her second studio album ‘Carnival Ride’. The video, which was directed by Roman White, follows a young woman who is about to get married only to find out that her husband-to-be soldier has been killed in combat. Upon realizing that the love of her life is dead, she wishes that it were just a dream and that her husband is still alive. I haven’t seen the video yet and I can tell that I might need a tissue for when I do get to watch it.
50 Cent Sees Son

50 Cent can finally share some good news as the rapper was finally able to see his son Marquise who he hasn’t seen since his house burned down where his ex was living back in May. After accusing his baby mama of kidnapping, 50 finally saw his son on Sunday. The rapper picked up his son and the interaction between him and his ex reportedly went off without a hitch. He has since been able to spend quality time with his kid at his home in Connecticut up until the middle of next week until he has to leave the country to film a movie. Things are bound to get ugly again come September though as 50 and his ex are due in court to settle a restraining order.
