Carrie Underwood posed with her recently won award for Female Vocalist of the Year in the press room during the 2008 Annual CMA Awards which were held at the Sommet Center last week in Nashville, Tennessee. The 25-year old American Idol winner won her third consecutive Female Vocalist of the Year award. She also co-hosted the show with Brad Paisley. It looks like everything is going good for Carrie. I can’t say the same for Jessica Simpson though who wasn’t even invited to the event. Maybe Carrie’s rider called for it. Carrie wasn’t the only one who snag a repeat win though as Kenny Chesney won Entertainer of the Year for a fourth time at the show and Rascal Flatts took home the Best Vocal Group award for the sixth consecutive year. Congrats to all the winners!

Beyonce channeled her alter ego Sasha Fierce in issue #56 of V Magazine which went on stands last week. In the interview, Beyonce talked about her alter ego saying “When I’m onstage I’m aggressive and strong and not afraid of my sexuality. The tone of my voice gets different, and I’m fearless. I’m just a different person. It’s a way for me to differentiate what I do onstage from who I really am. It’s a way for me to not lose myself, to keep my life in perspective, because it’s really hard sometimes to stay on Earth when you’re a celebrity.” Take it with a grain of salt – you can believe what she said or you can continue thinking that she’s just a lunatic.
