Jay-Z Without a Hotel

Last year, it was announced that Jay-Z was going to open up his own hotel, J Hotel, on New York’s West Side. When you have the amount of money that he has, he might as well invest in different things. The economy has ruined his plans though as developer Charles Blaichman can’t secure the proper financing for the hotel. Instead, they’re just going to try and rent out the former Time Warner Cable warehouse. It seems that Blaichman is having problems borrowing an estimated $370 million for three hotels, one of which would have been a venture with Jay-Z. I wonder where the rapper will put his money into now.
