Check out this week’s episode of Clique Girlz TV at 106.7 XL in Orlando. Paris, Destinee and Ariel stop by the studio and discuss what it’s like becoming a household name, doing schoolwork online and still having to do chores like making the bed and folding towels.
In other Clique Girlz news, it has just been announced that they will be the new spokeswomen for Baby Bottle Pop. The deal was signed by Topps, the collectible candy company founded by Disney’s Michael Eisner. The girls will be featured on Topps’ packaging and appear in the product’s commercials, website and print ads. Jonas Brothers participated in a similar deal with Topps in 2007.

Posted in Grammy Awards, Katy Perry on the January 30, 2009
This piece of news is so crazy that I’m still not over it even now. While most people’s New Year’s resolutions are to lose weight or quit smoking, controversial singer Katy Perry chooses to abstain from sex. In a recent interview with TV Guide, she said “I’ve actually taken a vow of celibacy this year. No kissing anyone. Just my cat, Kitty Purry.” Can someone sense the lie in this? I really doubt that this is true, coming from the singer who sang ‘I Kissed a Girl’. I bet that this is just some lame joke that the interviewer just didn’t get.
Posted in Billboard's Top Music, Taylor Swift on the January 30, 2009

For the seventh nonconsecutive week, Taylor Swift’s album has been at the number one spot on the Billboard 200. The country singing sweetheart’s album has now become the longest running number one album by a solo female artist since Alanis Morissette and her 1995 record ‘Jagged Little Pill’. According to Nielsen SoundScan, Taylor’s ‘Fearless’ sold 63,000 copies during the last week and has sold 2.3 million so far. Beyonce just can’t seem to pass Taylor. She’s currently the runner up with ‘I Am… Sasha Fierce’ selling 49,000 copies. That was a good week for Beyonce but it just wasn’t good enough to beat Taylor.

Jonas Brothers are set to release the Soundtrack to their new movie, “Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience†on February 24th, three days before the film is slated to hit 3D theaters across the nation. The soundtrack includes old favorites like “Hold On†and “S.O.S†as well as live performances with Taylor Swift and Demi Lovato, a Shania Twain cover, and one new, never-before-heard studio recording called “Love Is On Its Way.†The highly anticipated film goes behind-the-scenes with Kevin, Joe and Nick on last year’s Burning Up Tour, following their every move along the way. Check out the recently released video for “Tonight,†the first single from the Soundtrack, featuring great live footage from the movie.
2008 was a record breaking year for Jonas Brothers where they took home six Teen Choice Awards, starred in Camp Rock, went platinum with their #1 debuting “A Little Bit Longer,†released “Burnin’ Up,†and became the youngest group to be featured on the cover of Rolling Stone. The New Year has already proven to be a continuation of their hot streak with a performance at the Kids’ Inaugural Concert in D.C. and an upcoming performance on the Grammys where they are nominated for Best New Artist.
