Interscope Records & Snoop Dogg part ways

Snoop Dogg has split with his record label of almost 10 year, the rapper has confirmed that since now onwards he will no longer release albums through Interscope records. Snoop started in 1993 under the label’s subsidiary Death Row Records.

Snoop Dogg has worked with labels such as Master P’s No Limit Records and produced 3 albums with them and briefly he was associated with EMI in 2002 before returning to Interscope. In all Snoop has dished out 9 Studio albums with the last one being Ego Trippin’ released in 2008. The reasons for the sudden split in not known.

Well what is there to be known, it is a simple calculated business move that the rapper has made. There are usually only 2 reasons for such moves, either better pay & better package or irreplaceable differences with between him and the bosses so what does he do, he walks out on them.

I seem to have figured this out quickly because the entertainment business is a tough place where people stick as long as it is convenient and thereafter it’s their own convenience that matters first.

Hip-hop mogul Jay-Z furious with Chris Brown

Hip-hop mogul Jay-Z is extremely pissed with the actions of Chris Brown over his alleged assault on R&B star Rihanna. And Jay-Z has indicated that he is not going to keep mum over the incident and will vent his anger and Chris Brown will have to bare the brunt.

The Los Angeles Police Department has issued an arrest warrant for Brown and he later himself turned up for the investigations into felony battery with a woman who is believed to be Rihanna. Jay-Z is the one who discovered Rihanna and then mentored her and is therefore enraged upon hearing the allegations.

He has said to a US magazine - “He hit the roof. Chris is a walking dead man. He messed with the wrong crew.”

These threats are ridiculous! Certainly what has happen is horrible but threatening him will do no good. Just say that u’r pissed or can’t believe it or whatever. The only women he should be threatening people over is Beyonce (not to mention his family!) THAT’S IT!
