Jennifer Lopez doesn’t play any games when it comes to people using her name and image for profit. The Latina sued some internet guy who registered two sites under her name in order to make some money. The sites, JenniferLopez.net and JenniferLopez.org, take users to ad-filled pages with little content mainly on JLo. Both sites claim to be fan sites, stating they were neither “supported or endorsed by Jennifer Lopez or her affiliated enterprises.” According to court documents, the sites’ owner “registered two domain names that are identical to the complainant’s mark and has used those domain names to attract Internet users to a website from which (he) generates pay-per-click advertising.” An independent arbitrator has ordered that the domain names be transferred to the Jennifer Lopez Foundation within 10 days of the ruling. Seeing how Jennifer Lopez has registered her name as a trademark back in 1999, she has the right to do so.

Britney Spears put the brakes on her Vancouver concert earlier this week because it was apparently too smoky in the arena. The recovered pop singer actually walked off the stage after just 3 songs. The concert came to a complete stop, lights off, for over 20 minutes when a voice came over the speaker system announcing that the show would not continue if people kept smoking marijuana and cigarettes in the arena. The announcer claimed that it was unsafe for Britney and her dancers to continue with the concert. Almost 40 minutes later, Brit took to the stage again and finished her set. However, one concertgoer said “She did not look into it at all!”
