American Idol judge Simon Cowell is notorious for killing the dreams of wannabe singers on the hit reality show.
But now his brother has revealed that one of the first jobs TV’s Mr Nasty ever had was polishing Jack Nicholson’s axe used in the creepy film The Shining.
Tony Cowell has told how the family used to live close to Britain’s Elstree Studios, where Simon took a menial job as a runner.
And one of his main jobs was polishing the axe used by Nicholson in the 1980 chiller thriller based on the Stephen King novel.
In one of its most famous scenes, Nicholson chops through a bathroom door with the axe while trying to murder his wife and son, yelling: “Here’s Johnny.”
Tony said his brother took great pride in polishing the axe: "You could see your face in it, it was so shiny!”

The rapper who was sued by a man attending one of his concerts near Seattle in 2005 was found not guilty of the charges set against him. Richard Monroe Jr., the individual who supposedly suffered extensive injuries during the concert sued Snoop Dogg for 22 million dollars, but received only 449 thousand of the sum and that from Snoop Dogg’s record label and other parties after the jury finally reached their verdict. It seems that justice has finally been served once more! So now it looks like Snoop Dogg gets his record label to do his dirty work for him. He’s one step closer to becoming a true “gangsta”.

The rapper who apparently busted the charts two years ago with his wonder hit “Crank That(Soulja Boy)” has apparently not resigned himself to being no more than a one-hit wonder and not be taken seriously in most rap circles. Soulja Boy had this to say about the future of his career: “I went through that phase. I didn’t want to be a one-hit wonder. But I put into my head that I wasn’t going to top ‘Crank Dat.’ That’s what made me hot, but I’m going to keep making hits.” True to his word, Soulja Boy has been releasing hit after hit… or so is the case if you judge from the charts. The fact of the matter can simply be resumed in an old, wise saying: “You’re a special human being… just like everybody else”.
