Beyonce is Expensive

Tickets for Beyonce’s four night intimate appearances at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas are going fast – but only to those who can afford it. Fans have to buy their tickets along with a two night stay in the hotel with packages ranging from $450 to $850 per person. And that’s just for starters. If that’s too expensive for you and you want to skip the hotel, a limited number of tickets are being sold for $250, $500, $750 and $1000, again, per person. So much for doing it for the fans. Sources at the Wynn says that ticket-only seating cannot exceed 1% of the ticket sales. That means that only 10-15 tickets in the 1500-seat Encore theater will be available without hotel fees.

American Idols Do Judges’ Choice

There are 4 judges on American Idol and only 3 contestants left. That makes one of the oddest situations in Idol history as 1 judge was likely to not have been chosen to pick a song. It turned out that Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi “collaborated” on choosing Kris Allen’s song ‘Apologize’. Paula Abdul got to make the first judge’s choice of the night as she had Danny Gokey sing ‘Dance Little Sister’. It was a song that he admittedly did not know but he did a fair job on it. Simon Cowell picked for Adam Lambert, giving him, if I’m right, the first ever U2 song on Idol – ‘One’.

Amy Winehouse’s father fears for her health

Mitch Winehouse, father of the famous troubled singer, is very worried about his daughter’s new alcohol related problems and the fact that they may lead to serious consequences. He said the following about Amy Winehouse’s new bad habits: “After she almost died twice from drug related problems, to see her walking, smiling - she has progressed so much. But now, if it’s alcohol instead of hard drugs - I don’t think I can go through that again. I’ve decided to distance myself, and whatever happens, happens. It’s her life. It’s her career. It’s her decision.” Considering what happened at the Jazz Festival, Amy Winehouse probably doesn’t have many decisions to make regarding her career. But why worry? She’s young, she probably has a strong liver… in time, she will probably see that alcohol is not the way.

Danny Gookey voices his talents

And the race continues with the three contestants apparently vying for something of a draw so as to keep the competition flowing on and on. It seems Danny Gookey is not about to let the others get the better of him so he goes for Billy Preston’s “You are so beautiful”… after many consultations with his mentors. It proves to be a wise choice as Danny Gookey gets the chance to show off his vocal abilities. Randy Jackson said: “You showed you are here because you can really, really, REALLY sing.” Simon Cowell remains the ever heartless skeptic, but he also commends Danny Gookey’s vocal abilities. So far, it looks like the three contestants might actually make a pretty decent band if they team up… but, sadly they’re going to have to rip each other’s guts out vying for first place.
