Amy Winehouse’s parents, Mitch and Janis, claim that their daughter has given up the drugs but cannot seem to get rid of her addiction to alcohol. The singer’s dad said “I need my daughter to be a whole person again. I’ve tried it all. I said: ‘Amy you’ve got to do this, you’ve got to go to this doctor, you’ve got to do this, you’ve got to do that, you’re killing me, you’re killing your mum.’” Considering that Wino is still boozing it up in St. Lucia, it didn’t work. Her mom said “The need to rescue her is enormous. I just want her to be OK and I would do whatever it took to make that right.”
