Janet Jackson and 20 backup dancers have been working very hard to perform a legendary one-time tribute to her brother, the King of Pop Michael Jackson, at MTV’s Video Music Awards on Sunday. The world’s best choreographers, including the likes of Frank Gatson and Travis Payne, have taken part in the 15-hour dance rehearsals to make the singer’s dream tribute performance a finely tuned reality. According to one dancer involved in the show, there won’t be a dry eye in the house by the time that Janet’s done her thing on stage. I can’t wait to see it. Now that is how you work for a tribute.
