Madonna’s adopted daughter Mercy James, 4, has lost her native language in four months since leaving Malawi.
The tiny girl accompanied her megastar mother back to her country to open a girls school that was funded by Madonna. The singer was seen at the school in television footage wearing a dark print sari-style wrap over black garments and a ponytail.
The singer took all four of her children with her for the groundbreaking ceremony and the family went on a visit to the Mchinji orphanage.
Her other child adopted from Malawi, David Banda, 3, was said to know some of his Chichewa tongue, according to Lucy Chipeta of the orphanage where he lived until 2007.
Chipeta said: “David had forgotten us. He remembers a few words. Mercy is a real white girl. She couldn’t speak any.”
She added: “I am happy to see David look so happy. Madonna’s a very good mother. Her children are well-behaved. I think she’s more Malawian than American.”

Michael Jackson’s movie has exploded on to the box office to take the number one domestic spot with a staggering $7.4 million on its first day and $12.7 million overseas – a world total of $20.1 million.

This Is It, directed by Kenny Ortega, will be shown in cinemas on limited release around the world for just two weeks.
It features dancers handpicked by Jackson and 100 hours of rehearsal footage in the run-up to a UK tour he was to underake before his sudden death on June 25.
Distributor Sony could not have picked a better time to release the movie given the upcoming Halloween weekend and its spooky Thriller-like themes.

The 50-year-old has said he would even do a “Jamie Oliver” and take the plight to the Prime Minister at Number 10 Downing Street.
Cowell was speaking at the CHASE hospice for children in Arlington, Surrey, and dismissed his ‘Mr Nasty’ image and said he had been secretly visiting the hospice for nearly five years.
He said: “I’ve never considered myself to be nasty. I would absolutely do a Jamie at Downing Street. I’ll knock on their door or they can come round to mine for supper. I’ll do whatever it takes to help raise awareness.”

Rapper 50 Cent has revealed that even he has been hit by the recession by losing a few million from his fortune. He says that he had to change some of his spending habits, mainly his constant need for new jewellery. He said “I buy diamonds on a very regular basis, but now I am selling my old stuff before I get something new. These are times when you learn about the value of money. If you don’t lose money in this recession, it means you didn’t have enough to start off with. Sure, I lost a few million, but that’s because I have so much. This is a time that will sort out the strong from the weak.” He’s so confident in his money-handling that he even says that President Obama can call him for any financial advice.
