Since his businesses are booming and his musical career isn’t far from it, it seems Jay-Z finally feels ready to settle down and really start a family with Beyonce. A source close to Jay-Z had this to say about his ambitions: “He’s normally very secretive but Jay-Z is so excited about the prospect of becoming a dad, he just let slip that they’re trying for a baby.” Isn’t it ironic how when somebody actually wants a kid they have to give it more shots, but unplanned pregnancies are just booming all year round? So what part of a normal life was it that Beyonce was sacrificing for her career again?

The singer was recently spotted by the paparazzi and pictures were taken. In those pictures there appears to be a very disturbing white stain on Rihanna’s pants, on the left leg to be more accurate. Now anybody can understand the occasional donut sugar powder stains or whatnot, but some cannot help but speculate. Rihanna should really be a lot more careful with these little accidents that might affect her newly highly improved popular image. We wouldn’t want Chris Brown to get the upper hand in the race for supporters just yet, now would we? All of Rihanna’s recent heavy confessionals would have been for nothing then.

Gavin DeGraw was recently spotted performing his song ‘Free’, which comes off of his latest album of the same name, at his and brother Joey’s bar, National Underground in New York City last week. Gavin joined the band on stage for a two-song set surprise performance. You can catch the 32-year old singer’s band perform at the bar, which arguably has the best burgers in town, every Monday night. You can just hope that Gavin would do more surprise performances. He must have checked how people reacted to his new music. He is currently working on his fourth album, which is due out early summer.

Susan Boyle fever is definitely back! The singer’s new album ‘I Dreamed a Dream’ may have exceeded everyone’s expectations, even her own. The YouTube sensation has already sold two to three times the estimated pre-release total for retailers. Not to mention having set the highest pre-order record of all time at Amazon. Susan is expected to move over half a million copies of her debut album and outsell some big names like Rihanna, Adam Lambert and even Lady Gaga. With that number on her side, Susan may end up having the biggest debuts of the year in the US. Wow!

Well, everybody’s gotta start somewhere with the addictions. Lady GaGa’s latest addiction seems to be work, as she herself relates: “I don’t go to nightclubs. You don’t see pictures of me falling out of a club drunk. I don’t go – and that’s because I usually go and then, you know, a whiskey and a half into it, I got to get back to work. Because I love my work so much, I find it really hard to go out and have a good time.” You have to wonder who Lady GaGa is hinting at with that picture idea… of course, there are a few ideas that immediately come to mind. But why would Lady GaGa need a bar for a good time, anyway? If she loves her work as much as she says it should be a delight just to earn her daily bread, right?

Jennifer Lopez’s ex-husband, Ojani Noa, intends to make public home videos of the star next week, RadarOnline reports exclusively.
Lopez was earlier reported successful in her legal attempt to stop the chef-turned-writer making the videos public, winning a court order that runs to December 1. But, according to Radar, Noa is upping the ante on the battle and claiming she has not acted in good faith or followed legal protocol.
The videos reportedly contain images of the sultry singer without pants on a motorcycle.
Ed Meyer, Noa’s manager, said: “Jennifer Lopez does not want the home videos to be entered into the open court record, where the media and the public can get copies of them and watch or share them. I will be filing the videos into the public court record on Monday.”
Lopez filed a $10 million lawsuit against Noa with her legal team from top LA firm Lavely & Singer. In the past she was victorious in getting court orders to stop him from talking about her in public.

Tokio Hotel took home the award for Best Group earlier this month at MTV’s European Music Awards where they also gave an electrifying performance of “World Behind My Wall.” This guitar-charged ballad is their new, official focus track in the US and follows “Automatic” as the second single off of Humanoid. Listen to “World Behind My Wall” here.
It’s a busy week for the band as their song “Human Connect To Human” is now featured in the brand new Verizon Droid commercial. Check out the sci-fi themed spot to see Tokio Hotel’s very fitting integration into the campaign.

The century’s great musicians appear together in a novel project that took a year to complete.
Q Magazine in the UK has compiled the musicians’ equivalent to the Vanity Fair covers that put together great actresses of the day in high art cover shoots. There is one difference: the musicians do not assemble for the portrait: they are digitally stitched together.
Bono, The Edge, Amy Winehouse, Sir Paul McCartney, Rihanna and Lily Allen are among the musicians to feature on the Artists of the Century cover.
Q Editor Paul Rees said: “All of the 34 artists are there because they have significantly shaped or connected with our readers’ lives in the past 10 years. As such they represent a reflection of the breadth and diversity of Q’s musical world. It took us a year to put together the Artists of the Century issue but I think the end result makes all that time and effort more than worth it. We had a long discussion about who is the list. We wanted Take That and Jay Z but sadly we just couldn’t make it happen.”

Mega-rockers The Rolling Stones are planning a huge tour in 2010.
The planned world tour was leaked by Ronnie Wood’s on-again girlfriend, Ekaterina Ivanova, the UK Sun newspaper reports.
A source said: “She’s not supposed to talk about it – things haven’t been finalised – but she couldn’t resist telling a few friends.”
Wood’s own arty entrepreneurial activities have been reported of late, including a collaboration with Liberty on some paintings he did.
The band’s last world tour took place in 2007. It brought in a reported £300 million.

Adam Lambert’s performance at the American Music Awards may have gotten more attention but some people are still talking about Jennifer Lopez’s fall on stage. While performing her new song, ‘Louboutins’, the singer fell on her booty when she jumped off a dancer’s back. However, the falling clip was edited out of the West coast feed and instead showed JLo jumping in slow motion and cut to her standing up. She’s ok with the little mishap though. JLo was on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show and joked about the incident saying “Did I trip a little bit? I don’t even remember. Yeah, I meant to do that. That was part of the choreography. The measure of things isn’t what happens when you fall, it’s how you recover when you fall.”

Adam Lambert shares the latest cover of Billboard magazine with his fellow American Idol alum, Kris Allen. In the accompanying interview to the cover, the 26-year old gay singer says that he considers himself a businessman, saying “I do consider myself part artist, part businessperson. I find marketing interesting, I find publicity interesting. I find the whole process interesting. I think there’s some artists that are really focused on the music and the artistry, but I also think being a showman and being an entertainer is more than just being a musician. It’s everything-it’s something to look at and to listen to.”

‘Rated R’ is seemingly not her most promising musical endeavor but Rihanna is reminding all of her fans that her music is still amazing. The Barbadian babe is releasing a box set containing her first three hit albums, ‘Music of the Sun’, ‘A Girl Like Me’, ‘Good Girl Gone Bad’, and a space for a fourth. Well that’s clever! The collection is due to hit sores on December 15th while ‘Rated R’ is already out now. Will you be buying the singer’s collection? I know everyone’s wary of buying the fourth album but the first three are sure worth it!

There is some talk that Britney Spears fans can expect some new material from the pop star as early as next spring. Though her ‘Singles Collection’ has just been released, it apparently isn’t enough to quench the thirst of true fans of the singer. So, according to reports go around the internet, Britney is working towards getting a new album with all new material out some time in May. She is expected to team up with producer Max Martin again as well as song writer Sean Garrett. The release will mark her seventh studio album. That’s amazing! Are you ready for more Britney?
Posted in Christmas, Simon Cowell on the November 23, 2009

Simon Cowell is reportedly set to make a fortune this Christmas as six of his acts are said to be up for four spots in the Christmas charts.
The 50-year-old music mogul is the favourite to take the top spot at Christmas and his artists are also set to take the albums chart by storm.
The X Factor finalists recently shot to number one in the UK with their charity single You Are Not Alone and it is likely to still be around at Christmas.
X Factor 2006 winner Leona Lewis’s single I See You is out on December 15 and Susan Boyle’s single Wild Horses will be released as well as her album I Dreamed A Dream.
The artists will also be up against whichever X Factor finalist takes the crown and they will release their debut single before Christmas.
HMV’s Genaro Castaldo said: “It’s unprecedented for an individual to have such a powerful hold on the UK charts. We could see a Simon Cowell lock-out.”

Rihanna recently spoke to Glamour magazine to talk about her new album and the sort of support that she’s looking for. The Barbadian singer said “If Lil’ Wayne and Kings of Leon like my [new] album, then I’ll feel good. I would not change anything about it. Even if people don’t love it, I made exactly the piece of art that I wanted to make.” Odd choice of artists to listen to when it comes to what matters but I have to agree that separately, the rapper and the band are pretty influential. I wonder if they heard Rihanna’s album and whether they liked it or not.

Singer Beyonce made the night for one of her fans by giving her one of her earrings at a recent gig.
The 28-year-old star recently played a date on her tour at the Metro Arena in Newcastle when she spotted Shannon Quinn, 12, in the crowd and gave her the earring as a souvenir.
Quinn said: “She’s my favourite singer and it was great just to be at the gig.
“She seemed to have her eye on me and I couldn’t believe it when she took off one of her earrings and handed it to me. It’s the best thing ever.”
Quinn is from Bishopbriggs near Glasgow and travelled to Newcastle with her family to see the star. The party had their tickets upgraded for free when they arrived and were right next to the stage in the VIP area.
Quinn isn’t sure what she is going to do with the earrings but said: “I might get it made into a necklace.”

Posted in 50 Cent, Justin Bieber, Kris Allen on the November 23, 2009
Justin Bieber released his debut album ‘My World’ last week and his sales were projected at 110,000 to 120,000 in the US. That’s pretty impressive. Set to take the top spot in sales though is John Mayer with his new album ‘Battle Studies’ with sales projected at 275,000 to 300,000. Norah Jones’ ‘The Fall’ should take second place at 150,000 to 160,000, followed by 50 Cent’s ‘Before I Self-Destruct’ at 140,000 to 150,000. Perhaps the most disappointing release from last week is Kris Allen’s self-titled debut album which was projected to only sell between 75,000 and 80,000. Those are disappointing numbers for the American Idol champ.

Entrepreneurs ahead of the pack are hocking a range of Jedward items.
The twins, while not always popular, are the talk of the town as their next X-Factor heat approaches this weekend. The unofficial merchandise was reported to be selling fast.
It includes I Love Jedward badges, Team Jedward T-shirts and Jedward noodles.
Lawyers for the show are meanwhile said to be moving quickly to halt the enterprise, which brings The X-Factor no return.
Iron-on John and Edward transfers are available at a steal, while on e-Bay a personalised hoodie sells in eight colours for £18.50.
Other Jedward gadgets include mugs and a Jedward Christmas card.
