Morrissey returns to tour after collapsing on stage

Singer Morrissey has returned to his tour after collapsing on stage.
The 50-year-old performed at London’s Royal Albert Hall after collapsing in front of 1,000 fans at a concert in Swindon.
He was unconscious and helped from the stage by band members to be treated by paramedics on site. He was then taken to the Great Western Hospital and stayed overnight. He had cancelled several shows earlier this year, arousing concerns for his health.
But Morrissey’s spokeswoman said the star is now “rested and absolutely fine”.
At the Royal Albert Hall performance, the singer was quoted as saying: “Fasten your seatbelts, it’s going to be a bumpy night. The doctor said I shouldn’t smile. I told him, ‘I don’t’.”
