Pussycat Dolls founder Robin Antin has denied recent reports that the band is to split – but added that it would be “easy” for her to replace them if they ever did want to leave the group.

Antin, 47, said: “There is no way the Pussycat Dolls are breaking up.

“It is a girl group, so people are always saying they are going to break up.”

She added: “The truth is the Pussycat Dolls is a brand. The name can live forever. The name is really bigger than all of us…”

Antin also quashed rumours that PCD lead singer Nicole is leaving to make a solo album, but added that if individual members did want to pursue solo projects that it wouldn’t affect the future of the group.

She said: “I have had a lot of different girls in the Pussycat Dolls over the years… so if a couple of [the] girls want to go out and do something else, it is easy for me to find other girls.”
