50 Cent has let out some pretty scathing comments about fellow rapper Diddy but now, 50 has posted a petition against Diddy claiming that the entertainment mogul is exploiting the memory of The Notorious BIG every chance he gets. The petition reads “Enough is enough, Biggie’s name should never have become Diddy’s Black Card. Just check out his latest video ‘The Ghost of Christopher Wallace’. Let Diddy know to let B.I.G. rest in peace. When was the last time Diddy really was ‘biggin up his brother,’ not biggin up his bank?” I wonder what exactly sparked this beef between the two rappers.
50 Cent Overlooks Susan Boyle
A few months ago, rapper 50 Cent was talking about how he’d like to collaborate with Susan Boyle and even record a track with the YouTube sensation. But maybe he really didn’t like the singer that much since he completely overlooked her. According to reports, Susan was really hoping to have been picked to open up for 50 on his UK tour after hearing of his admiration of her. However, the rapper decided to pick David John. Don’t let the guy lead you on Susan. You’re much better off without him anyway. He must have just been riding on the bandwagon when he said all those things about you.
50 Cent’s bodyguard gets arrested
It looks like one of the rapper’s bodyguards got arrested after he became a little too enthusiastic about shielding his employer from the paparazzi in Copenhagen and assaulted one of them. This is what of the poor assaulted flesh-eaters related about the attack: “One of 50 Cent’s bodyguards came out and told us to leave. The next thing I knew, he grabs my throat and tried to strangle me. He cut off my airway, and I couldn’t breathe. He took my camera and deleted photos. Hotel security came out and told us to call the police and that is what we did. I think the bodyguard attacked at least 2 other people. The bodyguard was arrested and I was told by the police that he was going to be charged with assault, threats and robbery.” It looks like 50 Cent has instructed his bodyguards well… too bad he didn’t teach them some tact as to when to act and exactly how much. Oh well, they’ll get there some day.
50 Cent Carries a Lot of Cash
50 Cent recently talked about his high-spending ways. The rapper said “I always carry $25,000, in cash, just in case something happens… I don’t know whether I’ll have to buy something or not. I like to have cash on me because it feels like I have money. I spend $20,000 a week on security. My home is surrounded by cameras. I need surveillance not only to look out for me but also to protect me. You get all these crazy lawsuits and I need cameras to check on things.” This is what you call advertising for someone looking to get robbed or burglarized.
50 Cent is Bitter
It seems that 50 Cent has gotten his panties in a bunch after failing to receive a Grammy nomination this year. In fact, the rapper has been nominated a total of 13 times but has failed to clinch himself a trophy. He told MTV “Man, f**k the Grammys! I couldn’t care less about the Grammy Awards. It’ll be the Beyoncé and Taylor Swift show. I guess they’ll both be performing at the awards show, which means their record companies will be spending money to raise the production values of the entire show. And when you spend that kind of money you’re supposed to get trophies.”
50 Cent Wants a Susan Boyle Collaboration
50 Cent is jumping on the Susan Boyle bandwagon and wants to do a duet with the Britain’s Got Talent phenomenon. The rapper explains his need for the singer, saying “Susan Boyle is hot right now. I got to get her on a track, for real. We’d make a hit. Everyone is talking about her, the lady from Britain’s Got Talent. ‘She’s got an amazing voice, and together we’d get everyone dancing. I’m always looking to do something new and she’s cool, so I’ll ask somebody to let her know. I’d love to take her clubbing, show her around my world. She’d have a great time.” Somehow, I don’t see the YouTube sensation clubbing. Actually, I don’t see this whole thing happening at all.
This Week’s Music Releases
Justin Bieber released his debut album ‘My World’ last week and his sales were projected at 110,000 to 120,000 in the US. That’s pretty impressive. Set to take the top spot in sales though is John Mayer with his new album ‘Battle Studies’ with sales projected at 275,000 to 300,000. Norah Jones’ ‘The Fall’ should take second place at 150,000 to 160,000, followed by 50 Cent’s ‘Before I Self-Destruct’ at 140,000 to 150,000. Perhaps the most disappointing release from last week is Kris Allen’s self-titled debut album which was projected to only sell between 75,000 and 80,000. Those are disappointing numbers for the American Idol champ.
Vivica A. Fox and 50 Cent Together Again
Despite going through a nasty breakup, Vivica A. Fox and 50 Cent have finally made amends. The actress recently visited the set of the rapper’s video for his new single on Governors Island but there is no word on whether the reconciliation was romantic or if they were both just looking for a bit of closure. Vivica once said that their relationship was “ghetto love”. I’m not sure what it means but I think it’s not something promising. A source said of her visit, “They were very cordial and friendly. I guess the animosity has faded.” That’s good for them. Take the high road.
50 Cent’s Expensive Life
After getting shot multiple times, I kind of get the need to have a ridiculous amount of security. And that’s exactly what 50 Cent does. In a recent interview, the rapper revealed that he spends $20,000 a week just on security. He explained “My home is surrounded by cameras. I need surveillance not only to look out for me but also to protect me. You get all these crazy lawsuits and I need cameras to check on things.” I wonder how the burglar bunch, the group of teenagers allegedly responsible for burglaries at the homes of Paris Hilton, Rachel Bilson, Lindsay Lohan and some others, would fare trying to get into 50’s home.
50 Cent Gets Hit by Recession
Rapper 50 Cent has revealed that even he has been hit by the recession by losing a few million from his fortune. He says that he had to change some of his spending habits, mainly his constant need for new jewellery. He said “I buy diamonds on a very regular basis, but now I am selling my old stuff before I get something new. These are times when you learn about the value of money. If you don’t lose money in this recession, it means you didn’t have enough to start off with. Sure, I lost a few million, but that’s because I have so much. This is a time that will sort out the strong from the weak.” He’s so confident in his money-handling that he even says that President Obama can call him for any financial advice.
50 Cent Gets Another Movie Deal
Most people are familiar with the classic tale of Dr. Jekyll who creates a potion that transforms his into his younger and more violent alter ego Mr. Hyde. The concept has been done lots of times in movies but we can now look forward to seeing two new faces to bring the story to life. Forest Whitaker and 50 Cent have been recently cast in the roles, the notable actor as Dr. Jekyll and the rapper as Mr. Hyde. I’m not sure if I can get behind this. It’s been done numerous times and while I know Forest will bring something to the table, I think it’ll be overshadowed by 50 just plainly sucking.

And that’s when someone locked the keys inside his Rolls-Royce.

His staff tried to get the door opened with a wire coat hanger, and things got worse.
While the car was left outside the hotel, with the keys locked inside, a parking attendant gave them a ticket!!!

Music for the Vets
MTV and their Choose or Lose campaign have partnered up with CNN to support veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. On October 24th, ‘A Night for Vets: An MTV Concert for the BRAVE’ will air at 8PM on MTV. The show’s name is a reference to the petition MTV and several veterans’ organizations created called the Bill of Rights for American Veterans (BRAVE). Some of the celebrities that will take part include 50 Cent, Ludacris and Saving Abel, Kanye West, Kid Rock, Fall Out Boy, Angels and Airwaves, Nelly, Juanes and Taylor Swift. The president of MTV said “It doesn’t matter where you stand on the war, we can all agree that young veterans serving our country must receive the benefits they’ve earned for their sacrifices. We aim to elevate these issues and ensure they’re a top priority for our government officials.”
Before 50 Cent Self Destructs
50 Cent recently sat down for an interview with Rolling Stone where he discusses his upcoming album and film which are both entitled ‘Before I Self Destruct’. The film is based on the music from the album. 50 seems to be taking his work very seriously as he explains that he wants the film to be an accurate representation of his life and its causes and effects. He says that while most films about certain lifestyles fail to portray the consequences, he “showed characters under pressure in scenarios where they felt like there were no other options, even though there were… There are always options. People just usually start to see them while being incarcerated – for not seeing them in the first place.” Oddly enough, don’t expect to hear any of the music on the soundtrack though as he wants the film to remain free of Interscope’s ownership.
50 Cent Acting Shady
According to new reports, 50 Cent has still not talked to arson investigators about the massive fire that engulfed his Long Island home that he and his baby mama had been fighting over. Reports say that a fire official said investigators could not reach a conclusion for the investigation partly because the rapper has not met with the arson squad. Another source says that 50’s unavailability is holding up the case big time but they’re not sure exactly why he can’t be reached. However, there’s no deadline required for him to meet with the investigators. You have to wonder why he’s taking his time with this thing. Why not just get it done and over with already.
50 Cent Sees Son
50 Cent can finally share some good news as the rapper was finally able to see his son Marquise who he hasn’t seen since his house burned down where his ex was living back in May. After accusing his baby mama of kidnapping, 50 finally saw his son on Sunday. The rapper picked up his son and the interaction between him and his ex reportedly went off without a hitch. He has since been able to spend quality time with his kid at his home in Connecticut up until the middle of next week until he has to leave the country to film a movie. Things are bound to get ugly again come September though as 50 and his ex are due in court to settle a restraining order.
50 Cent VS Taco Bell
50 Cent wants money and he wants lots of it from Taco Bell for jacking his so-called good name for a low-budget promo. The rapper claims in a Federal lawsuit that the Mexican fast food chain stole his identity by encouraging him to change his name to 79 Cent, 89 Cent or 99 Cent as part of a less-than-a-dollar menu promo. He doesn’t address the complete stupidity of the campaign in the suit but 50 does claim that he wasn’t told about the ad until he heard about it in the news. Of course, once he did see the ad, he totally disavowed it.
50 Cent’s Posse Member Gets Busted
Cops have arrested a guy in rapper 50 Cent’s camp for allegedly assaulting a woman viciously. Law enforcers say that they received a call from the rapper’s home in Farmington, Connecticut around 2:59 AM on Wednesday from the alleged victim. Dwayne McKenzie was popped for allegedly choking and hitting a woman with a belt which took place on 50’s property. When cops arrived, they saw that the woman had visible injuries consistent with her complaint. McKenzie has been charged with strangulation, assault, breach of peace and unlawful restraint. He has since been released on $10,000 bail. No word on what 50 thinks of the matter.
50 Cent Pays Child Support
Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson won a significant battle for money this past week. A judge ruled in the rapper’s favor in a dispute with baby momma Saniqua Tomkins over child support for their 10-year old son Marquis. His ex-lover was asking for $50,000 a month but was granted just half when the court viewed her and her son’s expenses. The figure got reduced even further to $6,700 a month. That serves the gold digger right. But let’s all hope that 50’s set up some kind of trust fund for his kid. The mom may not deserve the money but the kid sure does.
50 Cent Goes to Sundance
The Sundance Film Festival is supposed to be all about independent films. But recently, it’s all gone Hollywood. Apparently, going indie is the new black. A recent sign of the times that the film fest is going Hollywood is that 50 Cent was spotted giving a performance for Sundance fans. Who knew that you could bring gangta to Utah? Apparently, the rapper knew that it could be done. All that’s missing from that party were the bottles of bubbly. But if they really wanted to go all Hollywood for Sundance, they could have gotten Diddy… or Kanye West! Bring back the rivalry!
