Harry Potter Actor Turned Recording Artist

‘Harry Potter’ actor Tom Felton, who plays the nefarious villain Draco Malfoy, has apparently signed a record deal and will be making some music for the whole world to hear. According to the official Twitter of Six Strings Productions “we have really really exciting news….Tom Felton has signed and the album is very much on its way..” There’s no word yet as to what genre of music he will be making but I have to admit that I’m curious and itching to give it a listen. I wonder if he’s any good. Are you interested in hearing Draco Malfoy the singer?

Tom Cruise Dances with Jennifer Lopez

Tom Cruise reprised his ‘Tropic Thunder’ role as Les Grossman and danced with Jennifer Lopez during the 2010 MTV Movie Awards which was held at Universal Studios’ Gibson Amphitheatre this past Sunday in Universal City, California. The actor and the singer worked it out to JLo’s 2005 hit song ‘Get Right’. What, couldn’t she find a better song to dance to? Oh that’s right, she hasn’t had a hit song since then. It looks like Katie Holmes approved of her hubby’s dancing as she was shown in the audience enjoying the performance. I wonder why MTV decided to bring back ‘Tropic Thunder’ and why just Tom’s character.

LeAnn Rimes Denies Being Home Wrecker

LeAnn Rimes is finally speaking up about her affair and subsequent relationship with Eddie Cibrian that developed while the country singer and the actor were still married to other people. LeAnn said “I take responsibility for everything I’ve done. I hate that people got hurt. But I don’t regret the outcome. It was very emotionally driven. I never once thought what I was doing was OK. I was out of balance. My marriage was out of balance. There was something missing. The hardest thing to hear is someone call either of us a home wrecker because we didn’t walk into a perfectly happy marriage and ruin it. I don’t know what the future holds, but I know it holds Eddie. I’m really happy. I’ve moved on, and I hope there can be some forgiveness and acceptance.” Oh please.

Matthew Morrison VS Britney Spears

Matthew Morrison responded to the rumor regarding having a Britney Spears-themed episode of ‘Glee’. However, the actor/singer doesn’t necessarily think that it’s going to happen. He said “That’s a rumor her manager started. I hope our show doesn’t go along that route.” Why not? Britney may not be as big as Madonna or Lady Gaga but she’s still an icon of pop music. I actually think that it will be beneficial to the show especially since fans of the show are likely to have been the same generation that has been greatly exposed to her music. Matthew really needs to get over himself.

Ryan Gosling is a DJ

Ryan Gosling spent his Sunday night as the DJ at Bardot lounge in Hollywood. The 28-year old Canadian actor and musician took the turn tables at the DJ booth with his best friend, fellow Dead Man’s Bones member Zach Shields. And as a testament to how good Ryan was as a DJ, the dance floor was packed the entire evening. Talk about a man of many talents! Ryan and Zach also brought in inflatable street artist Joshua Allen Harris, whose pieces were on display all around the venue. The party is obviously wherever Ryan and his best friend are at.

Taylor Swift Talks Taylor Lautner

In the December issue of InStyle magazine, Taylor Swift discusses her love of the single life and her fondness of ‘Twilight’ star Taylor Lautner. The country singer said “He and I have gotten really close. It would be confusing on the set with two Taylors in the same scene. They were like, ‘Taylor, on your mark – no, not you, the other one!’ So halfway through the shoot, I said, ‘How about you guys call me Swifty and call him Taylor?’” The actor seems to be fond of her too as he said “Taylor is hilarious. It was definitely not hard to play her love interest.”

Denise Richards hits bum notes singing at baseball game

Reality TV star Denise Richards hit more than just the odd bum note singing at a baseball game – despite a lesson from a top vocal coach.

The former Bond girl was invited to sing traditional baseball favourite Take Me Out To The Ball Game at a Chicago Cubs game in the latest episode of her US reality show.

But her attempt was so bad, it was mocked on internet blogs, warning: “This will make your ears bleed.”

Denise had admitted she can’t sing, repeatedly saying: “I’m not a singer.”

And even a lesson with a vocal coach who has worked with stars including Leona Lewis could not help her.

As she prepared to belt out the song, she confessed: “I’m completely freaked out by having to sing. I’m sick about it.”

She held up a handwritten note to the camera that read: “I feel very out of my element. Yikes!”

Denise said: “My heart was beating so damn fast, I thought I was going to have a heart attack.

“I couldn’t hear the music, so I have no clue if I was even following along properly.

“I just belted it out.”

Joe Jonas has just been hailed as InStyle’s ‘HeartthrobJon’ in its June 2009 issue. The 19-year old Jonas Brothers member has become one of the biggest teen idols of this time. The singer said “It feels great when you’re on stage and girls are screaming for you. I become a different person.” When asked what he thought was sexy, Joe replied “I like Spanish music and the female singers. I can’t understand what they’re saying, but as a songwriter I get it.” When he was asked who his celebrity crush was, Joe said “Daniel Craig.” I wonder what his girlfriend, actress Camilla Belle, thinks about that.

Nelly: Actor

Rapper Nelly recently made an appearance on the hit CBS drama ‘CSI: NY’. His character has a multi-episode arc where he plays a club owner who serves as a confidential informant to Detective Mac Taylor, played by actor Gary Sinise, and his team. The show’s executive producer Pam Veasey said of Nelly’s performance that “He’s a great actor. He really stepped up.” That’s more than you can say for other musicians turned actors. Nelly has real talent. I wonder if he’ll be doing any more acting. Currently, the rapper is on tour in support of his fifth studio album ‘Brass Knuckles’.
