A multitude of unreleased Michael Jackson songs were found on a computer in the late singer’s rented Holmby Hills mansion and according to the King of Pop’s manager, Frank DiLeo, there were at least 100 songs on the hard drive. Some were recorded during the 1980s. Those were tracks left off of ‘Bad’ and ‘Thriller’. Other songs feature current talent like Ne-Yo and Akon. The Jackson family currently has the computer in their possession, but the estate lawyers will soon recover the contents so it can be logged. I wonder whether they will decide to release a posthumous album. I hope they do.

Michael Jackson is dead and the saddest part in the situation is the loss of the artist who created such timeless music. Though there are rumors of secret musical vaults and unheard tracks, reports are now saying that Michael was actually working on two separate albums while preparing for his tour. One album was in the pop genre while the other was of instrumental compositions. On his pop record, Michael reportedly collaborated with Claude Kelly and Akon. The instrumental album was headed by composer David Michael Frank. If the reports about the albums are true, we are left with the consolation that it’s only a matter of time before the records are finished and released.

R&B star Akon wants to see if he can make a career out of acting and its just not there are many musicians that carry hopes of finding some new direction of creativity in an acting career.
Akon told WENN, “On the movie side, acting is something I will entertain later. Now I’m into more of the behind the scenes stuff: producing the movies, scoring the movies, doing the soundtracks, and slowly I’ll make my way in.”
These chaps are really going nuts because the want to be right in front of the cameras, then in forefront on the red carpets and also for the tabloids. Fame is a thing that once to get into it you just can’t have enough of it. Stay with the Music, No more actingers!
You know some like Seal really makes it look good combining acting and singing both but when a precedent is set all just folk to emulate it irrespective of its their domain or not.

A new video has surfaced featuring Akon and his girl-smacking concert in Guyana. The singer’s people claim that the footage tells a much different story that the shorter, edited version that’s been heating up the blogs recently. The longer version shows what happens directly after Akon nails two women who got too close to the singer. If you’ve seen the shorter version, you know that it cuts off right after the whacking. I’m not sure if it completely vindicates the guy but you can check out the new video and judge for yourself. I doubt hitting a woman can be forgiven easily though.

When a fan threw ice at Trey Songz, that fan probably didn’t expect the R&B singer and his bodyguard to leap from the stage and come after him. But wouldn’t you know it? That’s exactly what happened when Trey went and did an Akon.
In a video that made its way on to the internet, the singer orders that DJ to cut the music after someone threw ice at him. He then scouts the crowd for the fan and flies off stage with his bodyguard. According to another fan “They beat the dude down. Took his jewels, chains, and grills. The dude’s mouth got bloodied up. Then Trey comes back in and finished the night.” Ouch.

It seems like Akon is inescapable today. His most recent solo hits “Smack That” and “I Wanna Love You” spent multiple weeks simultaneously in the top 10, and Akon has a flashy guest appearance on Gwen Stefani’s current top 10 hit “The Sweet Escape.” Unfortunately, too often Akon’s music utilizes easy gimmicks to gain attention. This moves the song quickly up the chart but doesn’t wear well with listeners. Fortunately, “Don’t Matter” is largely lacking in gimmickry and lingers longer in the brain’s music pleasure centers.
Fortunately, “Don’t Matter,” finding Akon in an even more laidback ballad mood than his makeout tune “I Wanna Love You,” is devoid of gimmicks and annoying hooks. Akon’s pleasing voice, both singing and rapping, is showcased over a laidback groove. Lyrically the words of defiant, committed love in the face of disapproval will strike a chord with many pop fans. Stick with the song all the way through and you’ll be rewarded with a percussive party section at the end that will put a smile on your face and might even make you move.
“Don’t Matter” is likely to help maintain Akon’s string of weeks with 2 singles in the pop top 10. It is nearly assured of joining “The Sweet Escape” making Akon’s sweet tenor continue to seem ubiquitous on pop radio.

Akon has decided to record a song to apologize for the thing he has done and the things he hasn’t after coming to the conclusion “everything I do is affecting the people around me”.
The song was leaked Wednesday on Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS-FM morning show and posted on the Web site TMZ.com.
These months Akon has done many things to become the cause for a number of controversies and discussions. In April, he was caught on tape doing a sexually suggestive dance with a 14-year-old audience member at a Trinidad nightclub. As a result of the incident, Verizon dropped their sponsorship from his tour with Gwen Stefani.
Talking about this incident the singer said: ”Sorry for the hand she was dealt, for the embarrassment she felt.”
Earlier this month, Akon came under fire again after tossing a male fan from the stage at a concert near Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
The song, Akon released on Wednesday begins with apologizes to his closest people.
“I’m sorry for the wrong things that I’ve done, I’m sorry that I’m not always there for my sons”, he sings to his wife.
“I’m sorry that your son was a thief”, the ex-con sings to his mother.
When it comes to the incident in Trinidad the singer thinks that he is not the only one to blame.
“How was I to know she was underage”, he sings, “in a 21-and-older club they say? Why doesn’t anyone want to take the blame? Verizon backed out and disgraced my name.”
In his apology to Gwen Stefani he sings: ”Sorry for the hand she was dealt. For the embarrassment she felt.”
Akon ends the song with thanking his fans that they support him no matter what happens.
“I’m just a singer trying to entertain”, he sings to his audience. “Because I love my fans I’ll take the blame.”
