Black Eyed Peas Break More Records
The Black Eyed Peas’ ‘I Gotta Feeling’ just became the first song to pass the 6 million mark in paid downloads. That’s a huge record! The hip hop band also had the first song to top the 500,000 mark in paid downloads with ‘Let’s Get it Started’ back in February 2005. They’re not the only ones making milestones with their music though. Katy Perry’s ‘California Gurls’ topped the 3 million mark this past week, tying Flo Rida’s ‘Right Round’ as the fastest any song reached 3 million in sales. It also happens to be Katy’s third song to reach that mark, with ‘I Kissed a Girl’ and ‘Hot n Cold’ being the other two songs. Congratulations!
Top 10 Highest Earning Musicians
Forbes has recently released the list of the top earning musicians of 2010. The top spot belonged to Irish rock band U2, which earned $131 million. AC/DC came in at number 2 with $114 million. Beyonce was the highest paid female singer at number 3, earning $87 million. Bruce Springsteen made it to number 4 with $70 million. Britney Spears raked in $64 million which landed her in the 5th spot. Jay-Z was at number 6 with $63 million. Lady Gaga was close at number 7 with $62 million. Madonna earned $58 million for the number 8 spot. Kenny Chesney raked in $50 million at number 9. The number 10 spot saw a three-way tie with the Black Eyed Peas, Toby Keith and Coldplay earning $48 million each.
Will.I.Am Uses iPad to Catch Thief
Last week, will.i.am’s Bentley was burglarized while parked in the Hollywood Hills. The thief made over with over $10,000 worth of jewelry and property, including an iPad. That may have been the burglar’s big mistake. The Black Eyed Peas rapper used his iPad’s built in tracking system to find the thief and sent the info to the police. He had most of his stuff returned to him but the perpetrator is still at large. You have to hand it to will.i.am. He’s got a good head on his shoulders. I hope the police catch the one man crime wave that the rapper helped in tracking.
James Cameron making 3D documentary about Black Eyed Peas
Avatar director James Cameron is to make a 3D tour documentary with US band Black Eyed Peas.
One of the band’s members Will.I.Am has revealed that the new documentary will be filmed in South America and will be released next year.
He said to Vibe magazine: “We have the biggest director, because we are the biggest group on the planet.
“People will be able to see us in the theatre with the 3D glasses and everything.”
No more details about the documentary have yet been revealed, but the rapper has said there will be footage of the band playing live and it will have a ‘dope’ storyline.

Fergie stays in the band
That’s what will.i.am is insisting upon, despite some rumors and reports that he and Fergie have been a bit tense with each other lately and she wants to leave the Black Eyed Peas in order to start her own brood and maybe convince herself that her marriage can be saved. Actually, will.i.am is insisting that the Black Eyed Peas will never break-up. They’re going to have to go through that sooner or later. After all, there’s not going to be an infinite pool of songs they can rip-off to no end. It has to stop at some point, no matter how much of an immortal will.i.am thinks himself to be.
Black Eyed Peas Score Hit
With the mediocre quality of music that they’ve been putting out, I’m surprised to say that the Black Eyed Peas have managed to score another hit. In fact, the hip hop group has scored their 5th top ten hit off their latest album ‘The END’ with ‘Rock Your Body’. The song currently holds the number 9 spot on the Billboard Top 100. While it’s not exactly the top of the mountain, five top 10 singles off of one album is definitely a huge accomplishment. Congratulations guys! Now if only you can give me better music next time, I’d be praising you more.

Josh Duhamel: marriage to Fergie is stronger than ever
Josh Duhamel says his union with Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie has evolved over time, but that it is “stronger than ever”.
“[The love] ebbs and flows. Fergs and I have been together for six years and our relationship has changed so much,” the actor said.
“I mean, the first three months, well, there’s nothing like it! But, after six years, our marriage is stronger than ever, and it can get even better …,” Duhamel told Company magazine.
The couple were married in 2009 and renewed their vows on a Santa Barbara beach earlier this year.
“I believe in love, for sure. I don’t think there’s any doubt that love is real, but there are different levels,” the Transformers star said.

Black Eyed Peas Cover Rolling Stone
The Black Eyed Peas take on a futuristic look for their cover of the April 29 issue of Rolling Stone magazine. The interview called ‘The Science of Global Pop Domination’ has Fergie, will.i.am, Taboo and Apl.de.Ap commenting on everything from their huge success all over the world, art, the environment, to how dance music and technology will determine the future. U2’s Bono is even quoted talking about rapper/producer will.i.am saying “He’s a real force. He’s got the biggest songs on Earth right now, he’s the most wonderful spirit to be around, and he’s interested in the macro as well as the micro.”
Fergie is a Cheater
On the heels of rumors that her hubby Josh Duhamel cheated on her with a stripper, Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie confessed to being a cheater herself in her younger years. Fergie told Elle magazine “When I was younger, I used to be the cheater. I’m not talking about going all the way – I wasn’t doing that in high school! I’d have boyfriends and then spring break would come around and I’d be a little bit naughty.” I’m not really that surprised but I hope those days are behind her. As recent events have shown, cheaters aren’t looked at so kindly around Hollywood.
Justin Bieber’s surprise appearance
When somebody soars to success, it seems like they’re everywhere, doesn’t it? Justin Bieber is no exception as the singer made a surprise appearance at a Black Eyed Peas concert at the Staples Center in Los Angeles during the opening show by Ludacris. This is what Justin Bieber wrote on his twitter account about the event: “Crazy night…got to surprise the crowd at the STAPLES CENTER with @Ludajuice 2nite!! Black Eyed Peas killed it too.”
Fergie gets Ferga-vicious in The Cleveland Show

Black Eyed Peas star Fergie went from Ferga-licious to Ferga-vicious in The Cleveland Show on US TV Sunday night.
The 34-year-old singer played feisty cat-loving redhead Jill in a new episode of the animated comedy show.
When Cleveland sets his friend Holt up on a date with Jill (Fergie) they seem to get along fine until a gathering at Cleveland’s home reveals that she has been beating up her man.
Cleveland, Tim the Bear and Lester all try to quiz Jill on what happened but all end up with fat lips.
Finally, Cleveland’s wife Donna steps in, and her and Jill have a fight of epic proportions in front of Cleveland and his male friends who egg the pair on.
This isn’t Fergie’s first foray into animation. The pop sensation provided the voice for Sally Brown in two made-for-television Peanuts cartoons (It’s Flashbeagle, Charlie Brown and Snoopy’s Getting Married, Charlie Brown) in the mid-1980s as well as on four episodes of The Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show.

Black Eyed Peas First #1 Album And Highest Sales Week Ever
Black Eyed Peas ‘The E.N.D.’ Lands At #1 On The Billboard 200 Chart
Black Eyed Peas’ “The E.N.D.” bows at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, selling 304,000 — the hip-pop act’s best sales week ever. It’s also the first No. 1 album for the group, which had previously gone as high as No. 2. Its last set, 2005’s “Monkey Business,” bowed in the runner-up slot with a then-best 291,000. It had the unfortunate luck to come out the same week as Coldplay’s “X&Y,” which kept the Peas’ at bay when it started at No. 1 with 737,000. -via Billboard.com

The END of the Black Eyed Peas

Billboard is reporting that the Black Eyed Peas will finish recording their fifth album “The E.N.D.” at Metropolis Studios in London. Don’t be misled by the title as it doesn’t mean that the band is breaking up. Will.i.am clears it up by saying “No, no — it stands for ‘The Energy Never Dies.” He goes on to say that he’s tempted to release the album this year because this will be the last year were physical sales are significant. Will.i.am also goes on saying “We’re just finishing the songs and collaborating with the software guys. I’m tired of making songs for the radio and for MTV. You should make songs for where songs are actually being listened and played.”
