The All-American Rejects, hot off their December release of When The World Comes Down, have taken their time in the Yahoo! Music studio to bring a stripped down version of Britney Spears’ hit “Womanizer” to life. Packed with an accordion, clanking beer bottles, and a unison of “whooooos” the cover is described by frontman Tyson Ritter as “better than Britney” and can be seen at Yahoo! Music.
In another stripped down performance, The All-American Rejects’ performed their hit single, “Gives You Hell” acoustically. The band has uploaded the bare-bones version that can be heard at myspace.com/allamericanrejects.

Britney Spears began the year stretched to a journey and committed against her will at the psych ward but now it looks like her year has a happy ending. It’s been a tremendous turnaround for the recovered pop star and it we can only hope that it will get better. For the holidays, Britney posted a holiday greeting on her official website which features a happy picture of her with her two sons. I hope that 2009 will be a consistently positive year for her. Maybe she’ll do some exciting stuff like find a new boyfriend or finally get back full physical custody of her kids.

Country singer Taylor Swift has reclaimed the #1 billing and with that the top spot on the Billboard’s U.S. pop album chart for the third time in non-consecutive weeks. That is remarkable in some ways because after taking the top spot her album did see a dip and has climbed back to that position not once but twice.
This is a clear indication for her growing popularity and the nineteen year-old took the spot on Wednesday with her release Fearless, which sold 330,000 copies on the week ending December 21.
Taylor’s narrowly beat R&B star Keyshia Cole, her debut album A Different Me sold 322,000 copies, taking in the number two spot in its opening week. Singer/actor Jamie Foxx who was also making his debut with the album Intuition grabbed the 3rd spot, with sales of 265,000 copies.
But what is really heartening to see it that Britney Spears successful comeback seems to be continuing for now with Circus selling 196,000 copies which put Britney at the forth position. In fifth place is Beyonce with her release I Am…Sasha Fierce, which sold 195,000.

Britney Spears took a break in a snack shop after taking a walk through Japan on Saturday. Check out the Shave Ice and Doner Kebabs on the wall! I wonder what she bought. I hope it wasn’t anything that could be disastrous to her diet. The 27-year old recovered pop princess also took in some sights as she played tourist for much of the day. In other Britney news, her new single ‘Circus’ debuted at nuber 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart behind Beyonce and TI. ‘Womanizer’ currently sits at the number 10 spot. Two singles in the top ten! Congratulations!

According to an exclusive sneak peek, Britney Spears’ Circus tour is going to be a three-ringed spectacle when it gets to town. I guess they’re really hitting the circus theme hard. The recovered pop singer’s tour promises a three act treat which chronicle’s her rise to fame, her fall and her recovery through a circus concept. In the first act, Brit runs away to join the circus but it can only offer her smoke and mirrors and not the companionship she craves. According to an insider “Brit is seen having fun in this crazy world and falling in love with a circus freak.” Britney then escapes the clutches of the circus and is reunited with her family and friends.

It seems that the only thing that Britney Spears can do live is to open and close her mouth with a bit of wiggling on stage. For the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting appearance of the recovered singer, Papa Spears ordered to have a pre-tape of his daughter, got Brit some anti-crazy pills, a lopsided stylist and had her play with a mic. Brit didn’t even sing at the tree lighting last week. Her presence isn’t even live as that was pre-taped the night prior. Oh well, at least she looked cute and relatively normal. It just sucks that she wasn’t live though.

It looks like Britney Spears’ cracks haven’t been completed repaired and it’s starting to show. Maybe getting her latest album out too soon was too great of pressure on her. The promotion that goes along with a new release might be too much for her to handle too. A ton on London fans say that the recovered singer ditched out on a heavily promoted and hyped appearance/performance at the capital’s Heaven club last weekend. Apparently, Britney made it to the venue but never came out to perform which resulted to a lot of angry fans. It looks like she has a lot of making up to do to her London fans.

It looks like Us Weekly got it al wrong because the song ‘Mmm Papi’ which comes off of Britney Spears’ new album wasn’t inspired by or written for her former sleazebag of a paparazzi boyfriend Adnan Ghalib. Nicole Morier who co-wrote the song with Britney said in a statement “I never said that to the US Weekly! The song is definitely not about Adnan and in the whole time I worked with her last spring and summer I never once saw that guy. We strictly wrote the song for fun. the Mmm Papi part came out of Mmm Papa Luv U and I came up with it because the track was a fun up beat track and we wanted to do something crazy like mmmpapamowow.”

Haven’t you had enough of those so called “leaked” videos? I mean they’re like the strange pimples you get in the morning! (ANYWAAAAAAAAY)
This morning, more clips of Britney Spears’ new documentary Britney: For the Record were leaked online. The latest of which features Britney doing an impersonation of her father/conservator Jamie Spears while he is talking on the phone.
She says:
“This is my dad,” while pacing back and forth between takes of her “Womanizer” video.
“‘Britney, get your a– in here and sit down right there!’” she says, switching into a Southern twang (since he spent his whole life living there).
Britney then goes on saying that, “‘She don’t listen to me,’” and that “‘She screams at me, and she gets on me [for] screaming at her…you have to talk some f–king sense into her.”
It’s great to see Britney having a bit of fun while working, it’s good for her. And of course her impression is dead on basing on the reactions of her “audience”.
But, am I the only one who is bothered by the fact her father disappears for an hour when he uses the telephone? WHO THE HELL IS LOOKING AFTER CRAZY BRITNEY THEN?

Madonna has performed a miracle by bringing together Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake – not in a romantic manner though. The Queen of Pop got two of pop’s biggest names to perform with her at Dodger Stadium for her Sticky & Sweet tour last Thursday night. Brit performed with Madonna on ‘Human Nature’ while Justin sang on ‘4 Minutes (To Save the World)’. Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Lopez, Fergie, Heidi Klum, Isla Fisher, Dennis Quaid, Ryan Seacrest, Kate Walsh, Kate Moss, Hayden Panettiere, Lucy Liu and Amanda Bynes were just some of the celebrities who were spotted in the audience to witness the momentous event.

Britney Spears first single off of her much anticipated sixth studio album ‘Circus’ was supposed to hit radio on September 22. However, the single ‘Womanizer’ ended up getting delayed. The reason for the delay seems to be because of a leak. Maybe feedback on the leak wasn’t so good because the label decided that the song needed to go back to the editing room. Well, that was a big disappointment. I hope it doesn’t hurt her too much. Oh well, there’s still some room for her to gain some momentum before her album gets released on December 2nd. Let’s hope she succeeds with her comeback.

A preview of Britney Spears’ first single ‘Womanizer’ got leaked via Nashville, Tennessee’s 107.5 The River. The song is off the recovering starlet’s much-anticipated sixth studio album ‘Circus’ which will officially drop in stores on December 2. There were other song leaks that have been making waves over the internet. I guess those were just buzz makers to get people interested. I haven’t heard the song yet, leak or the real thing, but I’m hoping that it’s good. Britney needs a lot of good things to happen to her this year. Let’s just call it a reward for all the progress that she’s made.
