DMX is enlisting the help of Dr. Drew to kick his bad habit. It has been announced that the jail-plagued rapper will be heading to the Pasadena Recovery Center for VH1’s third season of ‘Celebrity Rehab’. The show’s resident drug counsellor, Bob Forrest, has confirmed the rapper’s involvement with the new season but has yet to reveal the names of any other celebrities who will join DMX in detox. The rapper has dealt with his fair share of drug related run-ins with the law, most recently a drug possession charged that landed him in jail for 90 days. I doubt they can straighten him out though. He might just be on the show for the money to buy more drugs.

Here’s another attempt at trying to revive a dead career with the help of reality TV. But it’s more likely to pay the legal bills. The latest to get his own program is beleaguered rapper DMX. The show ‘DMX: This Life of Mine’ will follow the rapper around and even document his many legal problems. Here’s to hoping they’ll be filming and he gets arrested. He’s been arrested six times just this year alone and there’s still months to go before it ends. Apparently, the show will feature DMX as he tries to get his life together after all of the mess ups he’s had this year.

When it comes to DMX, it’s pretty much normal when you find out that he is once again in trouble with the law. The rapper has pissed off a judge by failing to show up for a pre-trial conference. The judge is holding the bench warrant until 4PM on Tuesday to give his attorney time to provide the court with information regarding the location of the rapper as well as reasons for the non-appearance. DMX’s bond has also been raised to $25,000. The rapper is facing 11 counts including drug possession and animal cruelty charges in connection to an August 2007 raid of his Arizona home.
