Metallica VS Metallica

Nothing in life is free, unless you’re famous. But even freebies can put you in trouble as Metallica’s bass player is finding out. The band’s bassist, Robert Trujillo, is in the middle of a serious legal battle. He had an existing promotional deal with Fernandes Guitars in North Hollywood. For being able to use his likeness in advertising, the company was giving Robert a pile of custom basses. However, Metallica has its own promo deal with ESP Guitars and now that Robert is part of the band, their lawyers have slapped Fernandes with a cease and desist letter demanding that they no longer use Robert or Metallica’s name or likeness.
Kylie Minogue’s Cover Up

Australian pop star Kylie Minogue is planning on toning down her sexy image and opting for more a more demure look ahead of her 40th birthday.
The singer, who will celebrate the landmark birthday in May, is known for her flamboyant tour costumes. But her stylist reveals she is planning on dressing more modestly for her upcoming European tour later this year.
William Baker, who is credited with Minogue’s fashion-conscious style, says the star will be working with top designer Jean Paul Gaultier to create a more mature look.
He says, “The next tour will see Kylie ageing gracefully. She’s celebrating her 40th birthday this year so what we have planned is to move in the right direction. We’re working with Jean Paul Gaultier on the costumes - he designed Madonna’s Blonde Ambition tour. The outfits he designs are incredibly sophisticated. It’s difficult in pop to remain young so what’s the point?”
Adam Levine’s Christmas Shopping

Maroon 5 front man Adam Levine and his girlfriend Rebecca Ginos were spotted spending some major dough on some last minute holiday shopping in Beverly Hills last Saturday. The 28-year old Adam and the 21-year old cocktail waitress from Teddy’s Rebecca spent that afternoon picking up some designer duds at Yves Saint Laurent and Prada and were seen waiting for the valet to bring his Mercedes out front.
If you haven’t heard of how the couple met, Adam shared it on the Howard Stern Show earlier this year. They apparently met on Rebecca’s 21st birthday and boy was she given a birthday gift. Adam gladly admitted that “We had sex the first night we met”. Classy.
Rihanna’s Performance at WMA

Rihanna changed from her shining green dress on the red carpet to a very supportive strapless black dress complete with poofy polka skirt when she took the stage to perform at the 2007 World Music Award in Monte Carlo, Monaco on Sunday.
I’m sure that after her performance, the Barbados-born beauty took some time to thank the heavens that she did not have any wardrobe malfunctions. Although, I think that the likes of Prince Albert of Monaco was hoping for that as the principality was snapped taking a good look at what Rihanna had to offer.
On a different note, congratulations goes to Rihanna for picking up the award for World’s Best Selling Pop Female Artist.
Kanye West Turns Jewelry Designer

Superstar rapper Kanye West is designing his own jewelry line. The 30-year-old has teamed up with artist Takashi Murakami - who designed the artwork for the hip-hop star’s recent Graduation album - to work on the collection. Yeah with his album not doing that well on the charts ( he just got to number 1 and since then has been gradually falling down and also 50 Cent has started to out sell him album), I expected the not to be that chart busting too. So he, like Leonardo Dicaprio who is thinking of opening a Hotel, West is thinking of different ideas to keep himself earning the high bucks and if ever he cannot repeat the success he has had so far in the music world he can always fall upon designing because Americans are quite found of weird designer stuff, just put a label on it of a famous person it at least grantees you some kind of start to the project. I can’t wait to see what hie jewelry line look like because Kanya got weird taste “they won’t all be diamonds”. I hope there won’t be any diamonds, like his song blood diamonds, after that song, I wanted to get rid of my diamond ring.
