JLo Gets Dropped from American Idol

Jennifer Lopez has reportedly been dropped as a potential judge for the upcoming season of American Idol. As to why that is so, a source claims that the Latin pop singer’s demands just got too much for FOX. The source said “Her demands got out of hand. Fox had just had enough.” It sucks for her because I think she lost her last chance at ever becoming relevant again in the entertainment business. With just one month to go before aspiring stars undergo the audition process, I’m pretty sure that the show’s execs are pretty much scrambling to get things straightened out.

J-Lo and Steven Tyler linked to American Idol judging jobs

Jennifer Lopez and Aerosmith rocker Steven Tyler have been lined up as the new judges on American Idol.

J-Lo and Tyler would replace Simon Cowell and Ellen DeGeneres who both left the show after its last season.

The judging panel on the talent contest would go back to three, with Idol veteran Randy Jackson keeping his job, the New York Daily News reports.

Tyler and Lopez are the latest names to be linked with the jobs, following the likes of Chris Isaak, Justin Timberlake, Sir Elton John and Harry Connick Jr.

Representatives for FOX and Fremantle Media had no comment.

Tom Cruise reprised his ‘Tropic Thunder’ role as Les Grossman and danced with Jennifer Lopez during the 2010 MTV Movie Awards which was held at Universal Studios’ Gibson Amphitheatre this past Sunday in Universal City, California. The actor and the singer worked it out to JLo’s 2005 hit song ‘Get Right’. What, couldn’t she find a better song to dance to? Oh that’s right, she hasn’t had a hit song since then. It looks like Katie Holmes approved of her hubby’s dancing as she was shown in the audience enjoying the performance. I wonder why MTV decided to bring back ‘Tropic Thunder’ and why just Tom’s character.

JLo is Delusional

In a recent interview, Jennifer Lopez was asked if she considers being in the current music business with Lady Gaga, Rihanna and Taylor Swift as her competition. The Latin singer/actress insists that it is not a competition but JLo seems to have the delusional idea in her head about where she stands in the history of women in music. She claims “…It is great to be seen as somebody who was at the forefront of that little girl movement”. That’s so funny! She only wishes that it’s exactly how she’s seen. Unfortunately for her, she’s the only one who thinks that way.

It seems the singer is finding it more and more difficult to deal with her family life and her career all at once, especially since her kids are getting older. This is what Jennifer Lopez related on the matter: “They’re at the point now where they’ve come to the door and started yelling, ‘No, no, Mommy, don’t go!’ And I was like, ‘Whoa, this is bad.’ That’s really tough. Jennifer Lopez performed her classic hit ‘Waiting for Tonight’ for her Times Square Performance on New Year’s Eve in New York City. The 40-year old Latina singer suprised viewers by squeezing her curvaceous body into a skintight bejewelled body suit and a studded neck line. Are we sure that she’s the mother of twins? Damn! Hey Adam Lambert! JLo pushed a man’s head into her crotch and no one made a stink about it. Do you have anything to say about that? Oh well, it definitely beats seeing her fall in her performance again like she did in the AMAs.

The visiting Houston Texans beat the Miami Dolphins, 27-20. The losing feeling must suck for the minority owners. In other news, JLo is going to be one of the singers to perform on Thursday’s ‘Dick Clark’s Primetime New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2010’. Besides the Times Square coverage, Black Eyed Peas member Fergie will also be broadcasting from Las Vegas and American Idol alum Chris Daughtry’s band Daughtry will also perform.

Jennifer Lopez Sex Tape Going Public

Although Jennifer Lopez filed a $10 million lawsuit against her ex Ojani Noa, it may not be enough to keep her most private moments from going public. Ojani’s agent Ed Meyer states “Jennifer Lopez does not want the home videos to be entered into the open court record, where the media and the public can get copies of them and watch or share them.” He entered the tapes in court this Monday. I’m not sure how well that will fare with the court order banning the videos from public eyes. Meyer even sent the actress/singer’s legal team an email detailing his plans. I wonder what he’s got planned.

J-Lo’s ex going back for another round on home vids

Jennifer Lopez’s ex-husband, Ojani Noa, intends to make public home videos of the star next week, RadarOnline reports exclusively.

Lopez was earlier reported successful in her legal attempt to stop the chef-turned-writer making the videos public, winning a court order that runs to December 1. But, according to Radar, Noa is upping the ante on the battle and claiming she has not acted in good faith or followed legal protocol.

The videos reportedly contain images of the sultry singer without pants on a motorcycle.

Ed Meyer, Noa’s manager, said: “Jennifer Lopez does not want the home videos to be entered into the open court record, where the media and the public can get copies of them and watch or share them. I will be filing the videos into the public court record on Monday.”

Lopez filed a $10 million lawsuit against Noa with her legal team from top LA firm Lavely & Singer. In the past she was victorious in getting court orders to stop him from talking about her in public.

JLo Jokes About AMA Fall

Adam Lambert’s performance at the American Music Awards may have gotten more attention but some people are still talking about Jennifer Lopez’s fall on stage. While performing her new song, ‘Louboutins’, the singer fell on her booty when she jumped off a dancer’s back. However, the falling clip was edited out of the West coast feed and instead showed JLo jumping in slow motion and cut to her standing up. She’s ok with the little mishap though. JLo was on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show and joked about the incident saying “Did I trip a little bit? I don’t even remember. Yeah, I meant to do that. That was part of the choreography. The measure of things isn’t what happens when you fall, it’s how you recover when you fall.”

She once said that the reason she wasn’t wearing it at times was because it didn’t match what she was wearing. Sure, I bet that’s the reason and not because she desperately wanted attention. At the ceremony, Luis Fortuno was sworn in as the new governor of Puerto Rico at the Capitol Building. It was reported by the New York Daily news that Jlo and her hubby were planning to make a divorce announcement after Marc’s concert in New York City’s Madison Square Garden on February 14. Jennifer Lopez Bans hospital staff from birth room

No, no, no – it doesn’t mean that she doesn’t want them there when she is delivering; it means she doesn’t want the room used until she arrives. That’s celebrity madness if ever I heard it.

The ‘Do It Well’ singer is set to give birth to twins, her first children with husband Marc Anthony, later this month, and has asked staff at Long Island’s North Shore Medical Centre not to use the room until she arrives.

A source said, “There is a room, which even has a brown leather couch, that has been sitting empty for two weeks now. No one is even allowed in there until she gets here. It’s just sitting there for her.”

The hospital has reportedly prepared an entire suite for the 38-year-old star, complete with wooden flooring and a giant TV. It was recently revealed the hospital has been put on kidnap alert.

Staff have been undertaking specialist ‘Code Pink’ drills to ensure they are prepared in case anyone attempts to snatch Jennifer’s babies. A friend of the ‘Monster-In-Law’ star said: “Jennifer Lopez has spoken so much about how excited she is about the birth that anyone who is considering a kidnapping knows how far she would be willing to go to get her babies back.”

Lopez is good friends with Victoria Beckham and wants to join girls group, which will perform in Los Angeles later this year.’ Another piece of attempt to try and keep the momentum going for the Spice Girls enroute to their world tour which is slated to begin at the end of this year. Most people have lost interest in the Spice Girls and with so many more significant reunions happening this year their reunion seems to have been overshadowed.

Lopez gets $545,000 from former husband over tell-all book plans

Singer-actress Jennifer Lopez has won roughly $545,000 in the arbitration of a lawsuit against her first husband over his plans to publish a tell-all book about the star, court documents showed on Wednesday.

As part of the arbitrator’s decision, Lopez also won a permanent injunction barring her ex-spouse, Ojani Noa, from disclosing intimate information about their relationship for personal gain.

Among the revelations purportedly made in the ghost-written book, according to media accounts, was that Lopez had multiple affairs during her brief marriage to Noa, including one with salsa-singer Marc Anthony, Lopez’s third and current husband, while he also was married to someone else.

Anthony and Lopez, 38, married in June 2004, just days after he was divorced from Dayanara Torres, a Puerto Rican model and beauty queen, and five months after Lopez broke off her much-publicized engagement to actor Ben Affleck.

Lopez sued Noa, 31, in June 2006 to stop him from publishing the book, claiming it violated the terms of a nondisclosure, “non-disparagement” agreement the two had reached under a previous legal settlement.

The arbitration of their latest dispute makes permanent an injunction Lopez obtained against the book’s publication in June 2006.

“I just hope he respects the order of the court,” said Paul Sorrell, attorney for Lopez. “If he doesn’t, it won’t be over.”

Sorrell filed papers in a Los Angeles County Superior Court on Monday asking a judge to affirm the arbitration.

Lopez was awarded $200,000 in damages for breach of contract, $300,000 in attorneys’ fees and nearly $48,000 in arbitration costs.

Noa’s plans for a book were revealed in a January 2006 article in the New York Post describing the proposed expose as a 12-chapter “tell-all manuscript” under the title: “The Unknown Truth: A Passionate Portrait of a Serial Thriller.”

Noa, a restaurant and nightclub manager, offered not to publish the book if Lopez paid him $5 million, according to Lopez’s suit.

Lopez divorced Noa in 1998 after 11 months of marriage. She married her second husband, dancer Chris Judd, in September 2001 and filed for divorce from him the following July.

Lopez and Anthony star together in “El Cantante,” a movie about salsa legend Hector Lavoe that opened in U.S. cities this summer.

Lopez to go on tour with husband

Singer Jennifer Lopez has announced she is to embark on her first concert tour, alongside husband Marc Anthony.
The pair will launch their joint tour on 29 September in Atlantic City – the first in a series of dates in the US, Canada and Puerto Rico.The couple, who married in 2004, will perform together and separately in both English and Spanish.

Lopez and Anthony will soon be seen in the US in El Cantante, a film biopic of Puerto Rican singer Hector Lavoe.

The pair previously performed a duet together at the Grammy Awards in 2005.

Anthony said he was looking forward to introducing his wife to life on the road.
“Jennifer has never toured,” he said. “I’ve toured all my life. This is where I can step in and say, ‘Oh my god, this could be fun.’”

A proportion of ticket sales will be directed towards a charitable initiative aimed at reducing childhood obesity in schools with high Latino enrolment.
