Kanye West has a new music video coming out next week for his new song ‘Power’. Director Marco Brambilla recently spoke to the NY Times about the video saying “[The video is] a very exaggerated hyper-sensational version of what the song is saying. But at the same time, it has this fallibility to it. Because built into the story is that there is an ultimate fallibility, in bringing someone back down to earth at the end of the piece. That kind of contradiction, hopefully, will create the tension within it.” I can’t wait to see it! After a long quiet time, the rapper is finally back on the scene!

Kanye West gave the audience at the Isle of Wight Festival a huge treat when the rapper joined Jay-Z on stage. I’m sure that a lot of people were happy to see that go down. As big of a douche that he is, I actually miss the guy and I am so ready for Kanye to return to the music scene and his little surprise at the concert is definitely the right way to set things off. I wonder if he will be making any more surprise entrances soon. Just as long as it’s not when he’s going to interrupt someone, I’m good with Kanye.

Russell Brand reprises his role as hard-partying rock star Aldous Snow in the new comedy ‘Get Him to the Greek’, starring Jonah Hill as the record company exec charged with reigning Aldous in. While Jonah’s character has his work cut out for him, at least he never had to deal with the real life wild men of music. The top 10 bad boys from the 10th spot all the way to number 1 are as follows: Axl Rose, Pete Doherty, Ted Nugent, Steven Tyler, Ozzy Osbourne, CC DeVille, Tommy Lee, Kanye West, Liam Gallagher, and the baddest of them all, Slash.

The adorable and talented Taylor Swift was recently crowned Entertainer of the Year by the Associated Press. The country singer has had quite a year and I think that the recognition is very much deserved. Congratulations Taylor! I wonder how she plans to celebrate. A date with Taylor Lautner, perhaps? And I sure hope that Kanye West keeps his mouth shut about this one. Unless he says that Lady Gaga was the one who deserves to win instead of Taylor, I say off with his head. Anyway, yeah. Taylor does deserve the award and nothing anyone has to say should matter after that.

Taylor Swift is going to be on Saturday Night Live on November 7th. I’m sure that the show will be taking full advantage of the infamous Kanye West situation during the country singer’s opening monologue, perhaps even during the entire show when she hosts and performs. The teenager has even been thinking about skit ideas, saying “There are definitely some hilarious things that have happened to me over the past couple of months that I think will be pretty substantial skits.” Taylor also hopes to be able to team up with Andy Samberg on a digital short music video. She said “I’ve gone back and re-watched everything over the past couple of months and digital shorts would be so much fun to do, because they’ve done so well. Andy Samberg is hilarious.”

Lady Gaga was at the Billboard Women in Music event in New York City last Friday to receive the Rising Star Award when she decided to talk about the cancellation of her joint tour with Kanye West. The singer said “It was a mutual decision. Kanye’s going to take some time off. But the good news is that I’m going on tour in a few weeks.” The rapper should just admit it that he’s still reeling from the backlash he got from that VMA incident involving Taylor Swift. He definitely needs some serious time off from being in the spotlight.

The Kanye West and Lady Gaga ‘Fame Kills’ tour has been cancelled as concert promoters Live Nation confirmed recently. No official reason has been given for the cancellation. Refunds are available at the point of purchase. Tickets purchased online and via phone will be refunded automatically. Well that’s a bummer. It would have been an epic joint tour. I wonder if the bad press that the rapper has been getting has anything to do with it. If I was Lady Gaga, I know I wouldn’t want to get associated with that kind of guy. Could this be the end of Kanye’s career?

Singer Keri Hilson has urged music lovers to forgive rapper Kanye West after all the drama he caused at this year’s Video Music Awards.
Kanye ruined country singer Taylor Swift’s, 19, acceptance speech at the MTV awards by taking the microphone off her and saying she didn’t deserve to win, but Keri wants everyone to forgive him.
Hilson, 26, who is hosting the upcoming MOBO Awards, told British newspaper the Daily Star: “Kanye’s a very confident man but not arrogant. He’s just very open and honest.
“People aren’t used to seeing such an unguarded artist. I admire the hell out of how gutsy he is.”
Keri now wants people to forgive him as we should appreciate his honesty.
She added: “The world isn’t used to hearing what an artist really feels about himself or to other people’s music.”

It’s been a long time since I found myself able to say this but MTV is actually driving music sales up! While the public’s reaction to Kanye West’s behavior during Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech seems to be the most talked about stunt at this year’s VMAs, the music itself is also getting some recognition. All of the performers at the show are seeing a huge increase in their music sales including Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Green Day, Jay-Z, Pink and Taylor, whose iTunes sales went up by 80%. British band Muse also performed for the first time on American TV and the sale of their album skyrocketed as a result of the VMAs.

The tour will be called ‘Fame Kills: Starring Kanye West & Lady Gaga’. The rapper and the singer’s joint outing will kick off on November 10th at the US Airways Center in Phoenix, Arizona and will wrap up on January 24th at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. Kanye West definitely stole the show at the 2009 MTV VMAs when he interrupted Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech when she won the award for Best Female Video. Just hours after the incident, the rapper took to his official blog to issue an apology. He said “I’M SOOOOO SORRY TO TAYLOR SWIFT AND HER FANS AND HER MOM. I SPOKE TO HER MOTHER RIGHT AFTER AND SHE SAID THE SAME THING MY MOTHER WOULD’VE SAID… I’M IN THE WRONG FOR GOING ON STAGE AND TAKING AWAY FROM HER MOMENT!… I’M NOT CRAZY YALL, I’M JUST REAL. SORRY FOR THAT!!! I REALLY FEEL BAD FOR TAYLOR AND I’M SINCERELY SORRY!!! MUCH RESPECT!!!!!”

Big-hearted Beyonce made sure Taylor Swift got her moment of glory at the MTV Video Music Awards by inviting her back on stage after tactless Kanye West wrecked her acceptance speech.
Classy Beyonce called Taylor to join her as she collected the Best Music Video Award and gave the country starlet chance to finish the speech Kanye rudely interrupted.
Stars in the audience including Katy Perry and Lady GaGa stood to applaud teenager Taylor and the generous gesture.
Emotional Taylor gave Beyonce a big hug before going on to finish her thank-yous for her Best Female Video Award.
Ironically, Kanye had stormed the stage because he thought that award should have gone to Beyonce for Single Ladies, which ended up taking the Best Video prize.
Beyonce told the audience: “I remember being 17 years old, up for my first MTV award with Destiny’s Child and it was one of the most exciting moments in my life.
“So I would like Taylor to come out and have her moment.”
Taylor, who had earlier been left stunned when Kanye grabbed the microphone from her, smiled: “Maybe we can try again.

Kanye West’s model girlfriend Amber Rose has opened up about her relationship with the rapper.
Rose, who is back together with West after briefly breaking up with him in February, says she never intended to fall in love with him.
She said: “I was always a huge fan of his, but he had a fiancee, so I wasn’t like, ‘Ah, I’m going to get with Kanye.’ My intentions when I met Kanye were to just do his Robocop video, keep it very professional. But we really started to like each other.”
She continued: “It just so happened that he started liking me and I started liking him. It’s not a publicity stunt – it’s just human beings, man. I love Kanye as a person, he’s a great person and he’s super-talented. I love him for a lot of different reasons.”
Rose added that she’s never worried that her racy past will come back to haunt her because West already knows everything about her.
She said: “Kanye knew my life, so when it was, ‘Oh, Kanye, do you know she was a stripper, that she used to date girls?’ and he was like, ‘Tell me something I don’t know!’”

Kanye West recently absorbed himself in a freestyle rap in New York City as he went off against TMZ for the confrontation at LAX where he smashed the news site’s camera light to the ground and his bodyguard broke a still camera last year. The rapper has been charged with criminal battery, vandalism and grand theft. During the show, he sang “Who doesn’t think it’s illegal, TMZ? And I have to pay $100,000 to the photographer that said I broke his arm, but I was just breaking your f**king camera, I wasn’t tryin’ do you no harm.” Not only was the rant a bad move given that there are charges pending but TMZ also claims that he’s wrong because they have yet to receive any money.

Kanye West has pretty much done everything in the world so why not let him have a go at being an author? The musician is planning on compiling a new book documenting his successful Glow in the Dark Tour with behind-the-scenes photos, concept art, commentary and a best of CD from the tour’s set list. Charles Miers of publishing house Rizzoli New York said “Kanye West has turned his talents as pop artist to books. With a CD that includes Star Wars-like symphonics from the show as well as (an) interview with Spike Jonze, it is not only a memento of one of the most successful musical performances of the year, it is an experience all (of) its own.” Let’s hope he doesn’t write in all caps.

Kanye West is on the February 2009 cover of Vibe. Apparently, the 31-year old Grammy winner wants less fans. He said “I made a decision. I wanna make popular music, but I want less fans. I want the freedom of having less fans. It’s like the freedom of having less money. If you have less money, you have less responsibility. It’s like Björk. If she wanted to pose naked, you’d be like, ‘Oh, that’s Björk.’ But if I wanted to pose naked, people would draw all type of things into it. I definitely feel like, in the next however many years, if I work out for two months, that I’ll pose naked. I break every rule and mentality of hip-hop, of black culture, of American culture.”
