British bad girl Lily Allen has been trying to be good by staying sober but she got all sorts of worked up this past Monday over a comment that Katy Petty made comparing herself to a skinnier Lily Allen. Katy was at a show taping on Tuesday when she decided to clear things up about her comment saying “Yeah, I made a joke about [that] earlier this year. I was just kind of joking and trying to be funny. I didn’t mean anything by it. Comedians are not necessarily to be taken super seriously.” She doesn’t need to apologize though. If anything, Lily needs to apologize for not having a sense of humor.

According to a new report, the label of Katy Perry and Coldplay, EMI, lost a whopping $1.2 billion in the fiscal year ending March 31st of this year. The year before, the company lost a cool $455 million. Ouch! Analysts say that the loss can be blamed on poor operational performance. Specifically, “a hig-spending culture (including high executive salaries), overly traditional artist relationships and poor reporting of date related to artist profitability.” Katy Perry and Coldplay’s latest hits went on the scene after March 31st and have done pretty well. Let’s hope that’s enough to help EMI’s numbers look a little better next year.

Katy Perry is featured on the November 2008 cover of Blender. The ‘I Kissed a Girl’ singer talked about growing up with God, her battle with alcohol, dating a thug and the girls of ‘The Hills’. You really get a great perspective of her by the way she talks of her relationship with Gym Class Heroes front man Travis McCoy where she said “He’s thug-nificent. I can’t believe I got a thug to commit!… We weren’t really together, it was casual. But soulless hooking up didn’t seem so hot to me. I always wanted to have a romance. I said “Excuse me, I’ve been coming to a number of your shows in the greater Los Angeles area for quite some time now. I’ve been your Penny Lane long enough, and now I want to be your Grace Kelly.”
