Leona Lewis gave a fantastic performance at her first solo gig in London on Monday, for which she got a standing ovation for. The singer spoke to the audience to thank them for their support, saying “I just want to say thank you so much for coming to support me. The first time I ever performed here I was 13 so it seemed fitting for me to come back here.” The concept for her concert was amazing too! Leona appeared on stage in a black hooded cape with large images of herself projected on a see-through screen. Congratulations on the success of your solo show!

As we all know, Leona Lewis was attacked by an X Factor reject Peter Kowalczyk while at a London book signing of her autobiography, ‘Dreams’, earlier this month. The ‘Bleeding Love’ singer is now opening up about the terrible unprovoked attack, saying “It could have been worse. I’m still alive. It is just something you have to deal with when you have fame and the positives far outweigh the negatives. I don’t like to dwell on the negatives. I’m a very positive person.” And it probably helps that the guy is getting charged for attacking her. He clearly deserves whatever punishment will be given to him.

After cancelling her book tour after getting assaulted, Leona Lewis took to her website to explain her side of the story. The singer wrote “Thank you so much for your support it is truly overwhelming. Yesterday was a horrible shock and left me extremely hurt and upset. I’m very sorry to those I wasn’t able to meet at the signing. Thank you again for all of the lovely messages.” Not only is she a darling when it comes to her music, she’s a darling when it comes to being a celebrity. I’m pretty sure that there’s not a lot of celebrities would be so gracious after being punched in the head.

The album art for Leona Lewis’s upcoming second studio album called ‘Echo’ has recently been released and the singer is looking hot on it! The 24-year old British singing sensation has a lot of great songs on the album, which will be released on November 17. Leona has worked with the likes of Ryan Tedder, Justin Timberlake, Max Martin, Xenomania and James Fauntheroy. It sounds like she managed to get a great ensemble of artists to make sure that her album will be a success. But if the first single, ‘Happy’, off of the album is anything to go by, Leona has another hit record under her belt.

Leona Lewis is back and she has hit a homerun with the first single off of her sophomore album which comes out in November. The song is called ‘Happy’ and it’s an amazing song. It’s the type of song that you can call a sure thing. The song was co-written with One Republic front man Ryan Tedder and Evan Bogart, the duo behind her debut single ‘Bleeding Love’. ‘Happy’ is an epic, emotional, mid-tempo power anthem. The British singer sounds so amazing on it. I can’t get enough of it. Congrats to Leona for another great song! I can’t wait to get my hands on her album.

Britain’s Got Talent star Shaheen Jafargholi will reportedly be supporting Leona Lewis on her upcoming tour.
The 12-year-old Welsh star has allegedly been offered the role after wowing the world with her performance at the memorial concert held in LA for Michael Jackson.
A source said: “Simon is convinced Shaheen can be a global superstar. The platform given by Leona’s tour will raise his profile massively. It’s a hugely sought-after slot.
“Shaheen is over the moon to have been asked.”
Leona, 24, will start her tour next year and is reportedly planning 14 months of gigs. The tour’s production will allegedly have a Garden of Eden theme.

The legendary live concert event, VH1 Divas, is returning after a four-year hiatus and will feature some of today’s big voices including the likes of Adele, Kelly Clarkson, Leona Lewis and Miley Cyrus. I get the first three singers but what the heck is Miley doing on that list? The show’s producer said “Adele, Kelly, Leona and Miley have all captured the world’s attention with their talent and have earned their designation as VH1 Divas this year. Don’t let some of their young ages fool you - these women are among the best entertainers in the world and will continue to thrill music fans for a long time to come.” The VH1 Divas concert will air at 9PM ET/PT on September 17 on VH1.

Simon Cowell is said to be furious after internet hackers leaked some unheard demo tracks of singers Alexandra Burke and Leona Lewis.
Bosses at Cowell’s Syco record label are looking for the hackers who managed to get hold of the tracks and flog them to illicit websites.
Two tracks by X Factor winner Alexandra were said to be off of her upcoming album - however, Syco insiders say they are not.
A source said: “The leaked songs are very rough early demos, which were recorded months ago. We don’t even know yet if they will make the final cut.
“Label bosses are furious and everyone is in a panic. Sony have spent thousands of pounds over the past few weeks investigating the sources of the leaks.
“We are now pretty close to nailing the people responsible but it’s been a nightmare.”

I just can’t wait.” Her as yet untitled album will feature collaborations with Ne-Yo, Justin Timberlake and Timbaland. Leona told Britain’s Daily Star that “The music has a different feel this time. It’s more of a live, heavier sound with a lot of real instruments. It’s something I’ll be able to perform live.” I can’t wait to hear it.

Leona Lewis has finally premiered her latest music video for her song ‘I Will Be’. ‘Gossip Girl’ hunk Chace Crawford has several speaking lines in a brief cameo at the beginning of the video. The music video was directed by Melina Matsoukas, who also directed the international version of Leona’s ‘Bleeding Love’ music video. In the video for ‘I Will Be’, Leona plays a criminal who gets arrested by an NYPD officer, played by Cedric Darius. It looked like Leona got to practice her acting chops for this one. I wonder if she has any plans to go into acting. Maybe she can have a cameo on ‘Gossip Girl’.

Check out these pictures of ‘Gossip Girl’ star Chace Crawford on the set of British singing sensation Leona Lewis’ music video for her new single ‘I Will Be’. Leona is a big fan of Chace and has said that ““[He's] is one of the nicest people I’ve met. Super talented and he’s in one of my new fave series’ Gossip Girl.” The new music video will be premiering some time this week. The deluxe version of Leona’s chart topping debut album ‘Spirit’, called ‘Spirit – The Deluxe Edition’ hits stores on February 3, 2009. I can’t wait to see what goes on in this video.

Pop stars Leona Lewis is all set to be the singing partner of Justin Timberlake as the two hope to come together to collaborate for a cover of Whitney Houston’s worldwide hit single ‘I Will Always Love You’ released in 1992 and penned originally by Dolly Parton.
A source close to the two singer and one who know all about the behind the scene arrangements to get the two to sing a duet says “Leona and Justin are huge fans of each other’s music and are raring to go.”
Justin himself has admitted in the past that he would really not go an opportunity to work with the British star ever since he met Leona at his concert ‘Justin and Friends’ last year.
He said: “I’m going to go pimp myself to Leona Lewis, because I think she’s an amazing singer.”
It seems there is a great bit of mutual respect the two singers have for one another but in an industry where no one budges one bit even for the best of friends such good words should have a deeper story.

Leona Lewis got handcuffed from a police officer on the set of her latest music video ‘I Will Be’ in Brooklyn, New York. ‘Gossip Grirl’ actor Chace Crawford will be making a cameo in the video. A source told People how the UK singer and the actor met saying “Chace went to London a couple months ago for meetings and to promote Gossip Girl. He went to a party and ended up meeting Leona. Leona Lewis and Chace Crawford hit it off and talk every once in a while and have become fast friends… A couple weeks ago Leona called Chace Crawford and asked if he would be in her next video. Of course he said yes.

R&B singer Leona Lewis apparently developed such a great fondness of the show that granted her a debut that she desperately wants to be a part of it once more… but this time, in the judging box. She states that “’Maybe I could go back on it as a judge. Not yet, but in a few years. But I think I’d be a bit lenient – I’d be crying every few seconds!” Let’s just suppose that the extra years will give her the necessary experience to do such a job… but there is this absurd notion that judges usually have to be objective… not waste a gallon or two of diluted sodium chloride every time they have to do their job. But the way “talent” shows go these days, it probably wouldn’t be that big of an issue.

Keyshia Cole, Leona Lewis, Fergie, Ciara, Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Mary J Blige, Rihanna, Carrie Underwood, Miley Cyrus, Ashanti, Nicole Scherzinger and Natasha Bedingfield are all decked out in their black Stand Up To Cancer t-shirts. The group said in its mission statement that “For the first time we can envision the possibility of stopping cancer in its tracks. But just when science is on the verge of giving us the breakthroughs that can end cancer, the will and the funding to do so are disappearing from the national agenda and from our collective consciousness.”

Looks like another musical head-to-head is about to go on, but this time, it’s between British babes. Leona Lewis’ debut album comes out next week in the UK, the same time that the Spice Girls are releasing their Greatest Hits CD. And wouldn’t you know it? The X-Factor winner is pretty much guaranteed the top spot!
Leona’s ‘Spirit’ is outselling the Spice Girls’ Greatest Hits by 6 to 1 in pre-sales. Her album is even expected to surpass the Artic Monkeys’ ‘Favourite Worst Nightmare’ are the biggest-selling pre-release of the year. A projected 500,000 albums for her first effort is on for next week.
Not bad who used to work at a Pizza Hut not long ago.
