Lily Allen Leaves Twitter

Just like Miley Cyrus, Lily Allen has decided to leave Twitter for goo. Her last tweet was dated September 28 and reads “I am a neo-luddite, goodbye.” The singer is playing with the word neo-luddism, which is a personal philosophy against technology. It seems that she’s decided to commit to the idea. Sources say that along with quitting Twitter, Lily has also given up on her MySpace, email and it has been suggested that she has even given away her Macbook and BlackBerry. Some sources are saying that Lily’s return to the stone age was based off of her relationship with boyfriend Sam Cooper.

Lily Allen Continues Katy Perry Feud

Even though the feud between Lily Allen and Katy Perry has been kept at bay for months upon months now, the British train wreck of a singer just can’t let it go and refuses to forgive and forget. Lily was invited to be the special guest and performer for the Chanel fashion show in Paris last week but sources say that when it was suggested that Katy attend the show as well, Lily shot down the idea. Why does she insist on drawing out the feud for as long as she can? It’s not like her career’s going to last as long as Katy’s.

Lily Allen Fights for Artists’ Rights

Lily Allen has started her own blog tackling the topic of digital music piracy. The singer has written letters to many of her comrades requesting them to voice their opinions on music file sharing. She sent a lengthy letter to several artists, some of which, including James Blunt, Keane’s Tim Oxley and Muse’s Bill Bellamy, have written her back. Here’s part of her letter: “I feel really strongly about file sharing. I see it having a damaging effect on British music – especially on emerging artists. Overall the internet’s had a great effect on music and been crucial in helping people like me break through. But file sharing is different to legal streaming or making some music available as promotion. File sharing eats away at opportunity for new artists: by cutting off income at the most crucial, cash-strapped point in their careers and by limiting A&R’s ability to sign new acts outside of the mainstream.”

Katy Perry Clears Things Up

British bad girl Lily Allen has been trying to be good by staying sober but she got all sorts of worked up this past Monday over a comment that Katy Petty made comparing herself to a skinnier Lily Allen. Katy was at a show taping on Tuesday when she decided to clear things up about her comment saying “Yeah, I made a joke about [that] earlier this year. I was just kind of joking and trying to be funny. I didn’t mean anything by it. Comedians are not necessarily to be taken super seriously.” She doesn’t need to apologize though. If anything, Lily needs to apologize for not having a sense of humor.

Girls Talk Aloud

According to the British media, BBC has offered girl group Girls Aloud their very own 8 part chat show which is said to be called ‘An Audience with Girls Aloud’. The deal they made is reportedly worth $1 million. A source revealed that “The girls are yet to sign, but they have all agreed to it. They would each be paid £20,000 ($40,000) per show. The band is going strong and they all want to commit to it 100 per cent.” BBC has been making singers into talk show hosts recently. Let’s just hope that the girls don’t turn out like Lily Allen. But then again, they’re much more likable than Lily anyway.

Natasha Bedingfield Says No to Drugs

So what if she’s a goody goody. Her music is phat and she’s hot. She just does it all without the help of extracurricular substances.

So, what does Natasha Bedingfield think about fellow female stars like Lily Allen and Amy Winehouse taking drugs and drinking heavily? She thinks they’re out for attention.

Natasha says, “Unlike some artists around I like to have fun just for the sake of it, not just to attract attention. This industry is so obsessed with image and what everyone thinks of you and I’ve found that you have to fight hard within yourself not to let it affect you.”

She knows people talk about her…”I’m aware that I’ve been labeled a good girl by some because I’m different to some of the other female artists - the main difference being I don’t do drugs and I’m doing my best not to be messed up.”

Lily Allen in Tears

Lily Allen was caught by photographers just as she bursts into tears during a phone conversation after leaving a recording studio in London on Wednesday. I wonder if the call was with ex-boyfriend Ed Simons who just recently dumped her. And I wonder if she got dumped because of the miscarriage she suffered. Anyway, a candy fix and a trip to a bathroom fixtures store seemed to cheer Lily up so I’m not going to ask anymore. But for those wondering about how she’s doing, a friend of Lily’s has revealed that “She is feeling fine. She is throwing herself into her work on her new album and TV show.”

Lily still bitchy

Only yesterday did I write about how Lily Allen’s bitchiness ought to be cured due to a sudden gain in self confidence. Well I take it all back, because now the singer has gone one step further and has snubbed the very man who helped make her a popstar in the first place. Oh. My. God.

The word idiot comes to mind.

Mark Ronson was one of the producers behind Lily’s smash hit debut album Alright, Still. But he has since revealed Lily has been ignoring him, saying “Lily has been working on her new album, but I’m probably not going to be on it as she hasn’t been returning any of my calls.

It has been 18 months since Lily’s last release so it is about time we heard from her again. But snubbing her friends and the people who made her is not going to help. And she thinks she’s not a bitch…
