Madonna to reunite Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears

Madonna wants to reunite Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake. The 49-year-old singer is reportedly trying to get the former lovers to join her on stage for her ‘Sticky and Sweet’ world tour.

A source said: “Madonna is always trying to raise the bar and Britney and Justin on the same stage would be perfect.”

Madonna is said to be hoping to convince Britney and Justin - who split in 2002 after four years together - to appear with her on the final US date of the tour in Miami, in November.

The source added: “They have both been asked but I think they are both a bit reluctant. Britney would find it all a bit emotional and Justin might not be interested. More likely is that they will both appear at different dates. But if anyone can make it happen it’s Madonna.”

Britney, 26, has already recorded a video segment to be screened on the tour. Filmed in a lift, it shows her in a white vest getting hot and sweaty as she kicks and punches the walls. Madonna has also asked Britney to appear live with her as a surprise guest at some dates on the tour.

Justin, 27, was heavily involved with the making of Madonna’s latest album ‘Hard Candy’, and Madonna has also asked him to duet with her during the tour.

Justin appears on her worldwide hit single ‘4 Minutes’ from the new album and has writing credits on five of its tracks.

Madonna’s ‘Sticky and Sweet’ world tour kicks off in Cardiff, Wales, on August 23, and takes in Europe, North America and Mexico.

To date, Madonna has sold out her shows in Mexico City, Paris, Lisbon, New York, Zurich, Boston, Chicago, Denver, East Rutherford, Oakland, Las Vegas, Houston, Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver. Sources are also saying that Madonna is likely going to extend her tour to do more shows in Latin America. The people obviously want Madonna so it shouldn’t be any surprise if her tour does get extended.

Publicity Didn’t Help Mariah Carey

Publicity Didn’t Help Mariah

Despite the massive amount of media attention that she received after her surprise wedding to Nick Cannon last week, Mariah’s new single ‘Bye Bye’ has dropped from #22 to #41 on this week’s Soundscan singles chart in America. People may be interested in her wedding but it seems like no one gives a crap about her single. It sucks for her. But congratulations goes out to Madonna whose single ‘4 Minutes’ is at #3 this week with her second single ‘Give It 2 Me’ debuting at #21. I wonder if anything good will happen to Mariah’s career if she suddenly announces that she was pregnant.

Brits Choose Madonna

The British have made up their mind and the numbers definitely show that they prefer their adopted child Madonna over Mariah Carey. The chart results have recently been announced and the Queen of Pop’s new album ‘Hard Candy’ has topped the UK charts by coming in at the #1 spot. Mariah’s ‘E=MC2’ only managed to debut at #3 on the album charts. Additionally, Madonna’s ‘4 Minutes (To Save the World)’ is at #1 for a 3rd week on the UK singles chart. She doesn’t stop there as ‘Hard Candy’ also takes the top spot in more than 25 countries as more numbers roll in. Congratulations!

Mariah Carey Hangs Up

Mariah Carey turned every bit the diva when she was on Radio One on Sunday. The curvaceous singer did her very best Madonna “I’m a Brit” impression but then got her panties in a bunch when the radio host inadvertently said she’s only sold 80 million records. ONLY!!! Mariah then countered the number and said that her record sales are actually closer to 160 million when the call was mysteriously dropped. Did she hang upon the radio interview? Talk about being a diva. It’s almost as egotistical as George Michael saying there’s going to be movies made on his life.

Madonna Still Married

madonna-guy-r.jpg

According to Madonna’s publicist Liz Rosenberg, the Queen of Pop and her hubby Guy Ritchie are still going strong. Liz says “I am delighted to confirm that Mr. and Mrs. Guy Ritchie remain happily married. Though they were in different countries recently — Madonna in the U.S. doing promotion for her upcoming album, ‘Hard Candy’, and Guy finishing up post production on his new film ‘RocknRolla’ as well as completing a Nike commercial and working on several scripts in England, the family are joyfully back together at home in London.” We’ll believe it when we see it. You can never base everything on what people say these days.

Madonna Tracks Listing - New Abum

madonna-candy.jpg

The track listing for Madonna’s new album has been unveiled and it is as follows:

1) Candy Store
2) 4 Minutes To Save The World
3) Give it 2 Me
4) Heartbeat
5) Miles Away
6) She’s Not Me
7) Incredible
8) Beat Goes On
9) Dance Tonight
10) Spanish Lesson
11) Devil
12) Voices

‘Spanish Lessons’? Pray that it’s not ‘La Isla Bonita’ part 2. And no, that’s not the actual cover of her album. With Madonna going crazy on magazine covers and giving racy pictures, I’m sure her album cover will be just as, if not more, racy than ever.

Madonna Still in India

blog9-madonna.jpg

Madonna is still vacationing in India. She’s been on holiday since we rang in the New Year. Sources are saying that she’s on an extended vacation as a way to recharge her batteries as she gets ready to release a new album later this year and a subsequent tour.

The Queen of Pop and her family were spotted taking in the sights on Saturday. She spent time with her family by going horseback riding, learning native dance and shopping. The only member of the family who wasn’t spotted with her that day was little David Banda. Where could he have been?

Madonna’s New Album ‘Licorice’

blog7-madonna.jpg

Earlier in the week, it has been reported that Madonna previewed her album for Warner Bros. staff members in New York. Now, we have a date for the release of Madonna’s new and last album for Warner Bros. Billboard is reporting that ‘Licorice’ is set for a late April 2008 release.

The Queen of Pop’s husband, Guy Ritchie, pimped out her album at the ‘Revolver’ premiere saying “It’s her best CD. And I’m not just saying that. Well, I am just saying it, but I also mean it.”

After the release of ‘Licorice’ and a greatest hits album, Madonna’s $120 million deal with Artist Nation and Live Nation will start.

Madonna And Elton John Kiss And Make Up

ejohn_madonna.jpg

Pop legends Elton John and Madonna have finally called a truce on their bitter three year feud. The quarrel erupted after the bespectacled singer publicly accused the Material Girl of lip-synching on her tours during a foul mouthed outburst at a London awards ceremony in 2004. Two drama queens…no cat fights. No one wants to either of your a**es. Pop Legends alright but in the head merely 5 year old toddlers who will get into a fight if one have a bigger lollipop and candy. These people use the f-word so frequently and in such manner as if it were an honoree degree that they are bestowing upon the other for life time achievement for the contribution to music industry. He denounced Madonna’s Reinvention tour at the Q Awards, declaring, “Madonna, best f#*king live act? F**k off. Since when has lip-synching been live? That’s me off her f*#king Christmas card list but do I give a toss? No.”

Madonna - The Beat Goes On (New Song)

“The Beat Goes On” (2007) the new song by Madonna; Can’t wait for Madonna’s new album.

Madonna Leaked

blog5-madonna.jpg

I don’t know how close or how far to the truth this is but it’s still an interesting read. It gives some sense on where things are going.

Information has been leaked about the songs that Madonna has been working on for her new album. The tracks are still in demo stages and are unfinished.

01. Sleep Deprivation
02. Turn It Up
03. Going Down
04. Little Thang (feat Justin Timberlake)
05. It’s The Beat
06. Tight Fit
07. Black
08. Off The Hook (feat Timbaland)
09. Candy Store (feat Pharrell)
10. Eleven Minutes
11. Do I Care
12. Freelancer.34
13. U n M
14. Starlight
15. Hit It Hard
16. Got This Down Right

‘Sleep Deprivation’ is a favorite by Madonna, the producers and the label. ‘Going Down’ has raunchy lyrics which Timberlake co-wrote. Overall, it’s a different sound than what we’re used to hearing from Madonna.

Madonna to perform on Lennox song

Lennox is set to appear at a special concert in London next month

Madonna is among a host of female stars to appear on a new charity single by vocalist Annie Lennox.

Sing will feature contributions from 23 singers including Shakira, Joss Stone, Dido and Celine Dion, who were asked to perform by the former Eurythmics star.
Lennox, whose new album is due for release in October, wrote the song after her work with Nelson Mandela’s 46664 Aids charity.
The singer’s last solo collection, Bare, was released in 2003.
Other singers to appear on the new record, which is being released in September, include Pink, Fergie, Gladys Knight, Bonnie Raitt, Melissa Etheridge and Lennox’s fellow Scottish star KT Tunstall.

The song will raise funds for the Treatment Action Campaign (TAC), whose own vocal group The Generics inspired Lennox to create the track for her Songs of Mass Destruction album.

The award-winning singer, who released her first solo album 15 years ago, performed at the 46664 concert in South Africa in 2005, staged to highlight awareness of the plight of women living with HIV and Aids.

Lennox has amassed four Grammy and 11 Brit awards in a career spanning more than 25 years.

Sting ordered to pay $51,000 to ex-chef

sting.jpg

An employment tribunal ordered Sting and his wife, Trudie Styler, on Tuesday to pay a former chef $51,000 in compensation after she won a sexual-discrimination claim against them.

Jane Martin, 41, won her claim in May. She said she was fired after she became pregnant.

At a hearing earlier this year, Martin said she had worked for the 55-year-old pop star and his wife for eight years, cooking meals for them and guests including Madonna and Elton John.

She said Styler grew unhappy with her after she became pregnant in 2005, making her work long hours and growing angry when she took time off work because of illness.

Martin, who accused Styler of having a “grandiose ego,” left her job under disputed circumstances in April 2006.

The panel at an employment tribunal in Southampton, southern England, said in its May ruling that Martin had been unlawfully dismissed by Lake House Estate, Sting and Styler’s management company, and was a victim of sexual discrimination.

Sting and Styler said they had already launched an appeal.

Pumping Madonna

blog4-madonna.jpg

Madonna performed on the UK stage of the Live Earth concert series. The concert was held at Wembley Stadium on Saturday.

Before performing ‘Ray of Light’, Madonna pumped out the crowd saying “There’s been a lot of talk about conserving energy tonight, but right now I don’t want to hear any one of you save any of your energy right now! C’mon mother****ers! If I’m playing a guitar, not one of your feet can touch the ground! I wanna see this whole city jumping!”

Talk about conviction. Too bad the investments made by her foundation aren’t sharing the same sentiments.
