No Doubt Makes Progress

While at Fashion Week debuting some of her new designs for LAMB, Gwen Stefani shared that her band No Doubt is making some real headway in the studio. The singer explains that they are having a lot of fun working on new material, working with stuff that the guys had written while she was on her solo tour as well as incorporating some heavy influence from music of the 80s. Gwen said “The last few weeks, we’ve been listening to the worst of the ’80s, in the sense of bad but good. Pop songs, one-hit wonders, nifty songs, things like that. You just go back and find things that you love, and try to figure out how they made them. We just listen to good songs, and then writing our own stuff, we try to pull it out wherever we can.”

No Doubt Kicks Off Tour

No Doubt kicked off their world tour at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City, New Jersey this past weekend. Front woman Gwen Stefani looked out into the crowd and told her fans “It’s so good to be back after five fucking years” and “I forgot how adorable you all were!” The band and a lot of partygoers later celebrated the tour’s successful start at club mur.mur in the hotel. Gwen’s son Zuma was spotted out in the crowd during the concert wearing blue headphones. He didn’t attend the after party though. I guess it was way past his bedtime. I wonder where Kingston was.

No Doubt reunion album release delayed till 2010

Gwen Stefani’s much publicized reunion of her reformed rock band No Doubt and their announcement to release an album in 2009 now it has be announced that their next album will come out not before 2010 – this so that the band can concentrate on their comeback tour.

Drummer Adrian Young said that all members of band are working on new music -but it would take time to create a good album and hence the release has been postponed.

Speaking to MTV, Adrian Young said “We’ve been working on a new record off and on now for a bit of time and we’re going to continue to work on a new record next year. We’re going to start touring in the spring of 09 through the summer, and we’re going to continue to work on music while we’re traveling. (We’ll have) a mobile studio on the bus and eventually get to a new No Doubt record.”

Yeah I think that’s a better thing to do than just come out with a sloppy piece of work and wreck people money on a stupid album. Plus the fans would be able to see if the tour goes on well then fans would be willing to buy their music again.

Gwen Stefani & No Doubt to reunite

Well this is absolutely great news for her fans that Gwen has announced she is to reunite with her former band No Doubt and are going to tour again. And I know where all this talks took place which finally culminated into this famous 90’s band coming together.

Recently Gwen was in Mexico along with Husband Gavin Rossdale for vacations and her former band mates dropped at the very site where she was staying and its there that they thought it was time to reunite and play all the songs they once enjoyed playing and singing together.

And Gwen has really sounded very excited about the coming together of the band and said “I don’t think we should wait. Pack up the babies and get a bunch of nannies. So fun! Would be so inspiring to get out there and play all those songs again.”

Some of their smash hits include songs such ‘Don’t Speak’, ‘It’s My Life’ & ‘Just A Girl’ – reunited briefly last year at one of Gwen’s concerts in California.

No Doubt Reunion Coming Soon

The fashionably pregnant Gwen Stefani was spotted with Tony Kanal, Tom Dumont and Adrian Young, collectively known as her No Doubt band mates, at McKenna’s Seafood Restaurant in Long Beach, Los Angeles on Wednesday. It seems like the band’s reunion is just around the corner as they have been having weekly get-togethers now. Upon leaving the food joint, Gwen joked and asked photographers to “make her look skinny”. Now why would they want to do that to a glowing pregnant woman? You are beautiful Gwen! I think she’s the picture of how a woman should look like – healthy with a capital H.
