Chris Brown’s family is finally breaking their silence even though their famous woman beating relative is still staying quiet about it. Chris’ sister Lytrell Bundy told TV’s Extra “He’s always been a good boy — never violent.” She also talked about how her brother is doing saying “He’s doing good. He’s coping. He’s doing as… as to be expected.” She was also asked about their upbringing saying “It was a normal sister and brother relationship. Nothing different, nothing strange.” Is she blind? Strange stuff is going on with her brother right now. How does she explain that? Maybe she’s just being delusional or in denial.

Hot on the heels of ultra-successful runs with Theory of a Deadman, Seether and the Puddle of Mudd Tour, Nashville favorites SafetySuit will grace the stage alongside multi-platinum artists 3 Doors Down and Hinder for what is poised to be one of the biggest rock tours of 2009. They’ll be kicking off a month long run on January 22nd in Reading, Pennsylvania.
Nearly a year after their debut single “Someone Like You” hit airwaves SafetySuit have garnered critical acclaim and widespread appeal. “Someone Like You” broke through the Hot A/C Top 30 and Alternative Top 15, while the accompanying music video is steadily climbing the VH1 charts-hitting #8 on the Top 20 Countdown week of 12/22. Their second single “Stay” will be impacting at Top 40 and Hot A/C in February.
“SafetySuit is a fantastic artist development story,” said Universal Motown President Sylvia Rhone. “They’ve built up a passionate grassroots following through constant touring, while our team has been working for the past year to seed their music across multiple platforms. They’re a great band with a long career ahead of them, and it’s gratifying to see everything coming together so beautifully.” To date four tracks from their debut album Life Left To Go, including “Someone Like You”, have been featured on the hit MTV reality show “The Hills”. The resulting sales increase is staggering; both mobile and digital track sales are up 1000% and full album sales are up 25%.

For the fifth non-consecutive week, we find country singing sweetheart Taylor Swift back on the number one spot of the Billboard album charts with her latest release ‘Fearless’. Staying close in the number two spot is Beyonce with her album ‘I Am… Sasha Fierce’. Kanye West should be really happy because his latest release ‘808s and Heartbreak’ has moved up from the fifth spot onto the third place position. Who knew that his so-called artsy album still has some legs to it? The critics just about gave up on that one so long ago. I still think he’s a major disappointment though. So, hurray for Taylor!

Check out this week’s episode of PCD TV straight from Melbourne, Australia. The Dolls, who represent and encourage female empowerment, send a very important message from their performance at a breast cancer awareness event. Watch them take the stage to help raise money for the cause and spread the message.

The singer’s eldest son, two year old Kingston, is reportedly a very flirty young male. A source had this to report: “All the little girls in Kingston’s class are enamored of him. He is a total flirt!” They are constantly surrounding him, especially at story time. He is very popular.” Apparently little Kingston helps the girls in his class and shows off his gymnastic moves. Helps them with what? What gymnastics… this all really sounds like a “The Mask” episode… but it’s all really just a sad cartoon. How can he be “flirting” at his age, he can barely even strike up a conversation. Oh well, I’m sure the child’s adulthood won’t be influenced by this little episode in his life… of which those around him are more than eager to make him aware.

Beyonce was spotted laying the smack down as one of New York’s Finest as she played an NYPD police officer on the set of her new music video ‘If I was a Boy’. The new song is scheduled to be released on October 7th and will be the lead single off of Beyonce’s as yet untitled third solo album which is said to be available on November 18th. Wow! It’s going to be released in just over a month and she still doesn’t have a title for her album. Talk about doing things in the 11th hour. Let’s hope that her new stuff is good because the last ones she did were mediocre to be quite nice.

It looks like Barack Obama is going to have to push away another one of his supporters. Ludacris has just released a new rap where he calls Hillary Clinton a “bitch” and says that John McCain “don’t belong in any chair unless he’s paralyzed” and even throws insults at Jesse Jackson and George W. Bush. An Obama campaign spokesman issued a statement condemning Luda saying “As Barack Obama has said many, many times in the past, rap lyrics today too often perpetuate misogyny, materialism, and degrading images that he doesn’t want his daughters or any children exposed to. This song is not only outrageously offensive to Senator Clinton, Reverend Jackson, Senator McCain, and President Bush, it is offensive to all of us who are trying to raise our children with the values we hold dear. While Ludacris is a talented individual he should be ashamed of these lyrics.”

The Jonas Brothers rocked the audience when they performed live on ‘The Early Show’ at the Hard Rock Café in Times Square, New York on Friday. The band of brothers did the thing that they do best on the CBS special in front of a national audience. If you weren’t able to catch that, catch them when they perform on the results show of ‘Dancing with the Stars’ on Tuesday. And if you’re still not able to catch that, there is the current tour that they’re on and there’s also another tour lined up for this summer. Lots of Jonas to go around!
