Mel B is recording a duet with Janet Jackson for her new album. The Spice Girls star, whose last single ‘Today’ failed to break the Top 40 when it was released in 2005, believes the collaboration will secure her chart success this time round.
She said: “I am doing something with Janet Jackson which should be amazing. I am also going to hook up with Missy Elliott again.”
Mel teamed up with Missy Elliott for her debut solo track ‘I Want You Back’. The 1998 track was her only single to top the charts after she left the Spice Girls. The 33-year-old singer insists she isn’t worried about going it alone again and is convinced she has the best people in the music business working on her third solo LP.
Mel added: “I am not scared of having another try. I am working with the best producers ever. I am now 10 tracks in to my new record.”
The star’s previous albums were ‘Hot’, which was released in 2000 and 2005’s ‘LA State Of Mind’.

Sources are saying that another Spice Girl is working on a solo album and that Spice Girl happens to be Mel B. A release date and a record label have yet to be finalized and named but the artist famously known as Scary has already begun working with some of the biggest producers in the biz. An insider says that “Mel is going for a pop sound with a bit of an urban edge.†Her choice of collaborators reflect that as the list includes Scott Storch, Damon Elliot, JR Rotem, Richie Skillz and Rodney Jerkins. With all the talent associated with those names, her album sounds promising already.

The Spice Girls concert in Boston on Wednesday night ended on a peculiar and very silent note when the audio during their finale song ‘Spice Up Your Life’ died. Another peculiar thing about the concert was that Victoria ‘Posh Spice’ Beckham was all bandaged up throughout the whole show. There’s no word yet on what led her to cover up her back like that. No one really knows if she got injured or what but really, it’s more likely that she recently got another tattoo done. Hopefully, it wasn’t too big. Also, here’s to hoping that the tattoo is of her husband David Beckham naked.

Well it seems that the genius behind the Spice Girls; multi millionaire Simon Fuller, is a penny pinching scrooge; despite his millions. He has told the girls that there will be absolutely NO freebies, not for friends or anyone else; meaning the girls’ A-list chums such as Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes will have to pay if they want to support them in their forthcoming comeback tour.
However, I don’t know about anyone else but I don’t really sympathise. Tom and Katie are loaded; and if you have money then you should pay just like everyone else. That’s why Simon is a huge success and has more money than all five spices put together. And I doubt the girls will complain about the extra cash from ticket sales.
Sorry guys no free ticket giveaways. Though you can win Mel B’s eyelashes through a weird competition on the girls’ website…

For several years, Sporty Spice aka Mel C was reluctant to being involved in a Spice Girls reunion. She even publicly proclaimed that she would never do it. So what changed her mind? She tell UK’s Closer magazine the answer to that question.
The gist of it was that all of the girls approached her and told her that they were going to do it with or without her. All four of the other Spices had spoken about it and she was the last one they needed. Not wanting to be the villain by not making the reunion a complete reunion, she agreed. She wasn’t forced into it however because she also said that she didn’t want to have any regrets over not doing it. She also said that she took a while before saying yes but that she’s happy with the decision to join in.

The Spice Girls just released a 30 second preview of their new single ‘Headlines (Friendship Never Ends) to tease the fans of what’s in store. The song was co-written by Geri and Emma and it’s on the average side of a ballad. I guess you could say that I’m wishing that they came out with an up-tempo jam because this is the Spice Girls we’re talking about.
The full song will be available on Amazon on November 6th. Here’s the lyrics for the snippet that’s already available:
“To reach into your soul/This love is not demanding/My heart has told me so/I hold onto my hero/With faith and love to fly/The power to imagine/Will keep this love alive/Let’s make the headlines/Loud and true”.

All you Spice Girls fanatics get ready because their much anticipated Greatest Hits album is almost here. The CD, which features 13 of their best selling hits along with 3 remix dance versions of old songs, just went on presale and will go on until midnight of Thursday October 18 only on the Victoria’s Secret website. I just wait for it, it should be awesome and I personally think that this Greatest Hits album has a chance to create a record of sorts when it goes on sale for the most number of copies order in an hour for a Greatest Hits album. Well on the other hand even if the album doesn’t create any records during the first day of sales I think the band has already created enough hoop hoola for their upcoming world tour that all these marketing gimmicks and heavy promotions are going to land them huge tickets sales and millions of dollars in revenues.

Believe it or not, at least I am not the one who going to read much into this story at all. Would you believe it that a sensational performer like Jennifer Lopez would like to share the stage with a 7 year old split up group who wants to make some money by reuniting.
Well if the reports are true then here is the story who ever wants to read it, ‘J Lo is keen to perform with the Spice Girls who are planning to reunite for a world tour. Lopez is good friends with Victoria Beckham and wants to join girls group, which will perform in Los Angeles later this year.’ Another piece of attempt to try and keep the momentum going for the Spice Girls enroute to their world tour which is slated to begin at the end of this year. Most people have lost interest in the Spice Girls and with so many more significant reunions happening this year their reunion seems to have been overshadowed.

Mel C, who had opposed a reunion of the Spice Girls, told on Friday that she has warmed to the idea of a reunion of the all-female band. “For the first time ever, there is some truth in the rumors. We’ve been discussing it and it could possibly happen,” the 33-year-old singer, known as Sporty Spice, told British Broadcasting Corp. radio.
However, she added: “If the Spice Girls were to get back together it would be for a very short space of time. It would be a final goodbye and a `thank you’ to all the fans all over the world.” Rumours have swirled for some time about a possible Spice Girls comeback, but it was thought that Chisholm was the last member of the quintet still resisting the idea.
Geri Halliwell(Ginger Spice), Melanie Brown(Mel B and Scary Spice), Melanie Chisholm(Mel C), Emma Bunton(Baby Spice) and Victoria Beckham(Posh Spice) dominated British pop music in the late 1990s, becoming the UK’s most successful all-female group.

People and media both like to speculate on matters that they would like to see or see happen. There are also various betting sites that will allow you place a bet on whether a particular celebrity’s next step will be a hookup with another blonde babe or Casanova personality. In the 90’s the Spice Girls were considered as the equivalent of the Back Street Boys in America. Now there have been rumors that they are planning to team up again. Rumors or speculation is often has its birth when people or media like to see something happen or would desire that it would happen. All the girls are busy in their own fields or lives and it would be a miracle if they could unite together. First, it was Live 8 in 2005, and this time it’s the July 1 tribute to Princess Diana that the ’90s-era British pop stars will not be performing at, sticking a fork in yet another rumor that Scary, Sporty, Baby, Ginger and Posh are ready to take the stage again.
