Michael Jackson’s Secret Single to Come Out

In order to promote the upcoming Michael Jackson documentary, ‘This Is It’, the single that the King of Pop recorded to coincide with his planned summer tour is soon going to be released. The single was put on the shelf after the singer’s death in June but since the remixed vocals and added orchestral accompaniment, LA producers feel that it is ready for the public’s ear. A source said “It sounds awesome. The size and scope of the orchestra hasn’t been seen since Ray Charles recorded Georgia. Everyone expects a huge hit. But they’re worried about it getting out - they’ve hired huge bodyguards to stand by the studio door.”

Drake Up and Running Again

Only a few days after collapsing on stage due to his knee injury, a concertgoer blabbed about rapper and singer Drake taking the stage with Lil Wayne during their Toronto concert. I hope that he was actually well enough to perform and not just pushing himself harder. Apparently, his doctor’s already advised him to not participate in the tour when he first injured his knee but he still went anyway. But then again, how could he not perform in his beloved Canada? He is a ‘Degrassi’ alum after all. I’m even willing to bet that a huge part of the audience knew him from that show.

Britain’s Got Talent star Shaheen Jafargholi will reportedly be supporting Leona Lewis on her upcoming tour.

The 12-year-old Welsh star has allegedly been offered the role after wowing the world with her performance at the memorial concert held in LA for Michael Jackson.

A source said: “Simon is convinced Shaheen can be a global superstar. The platform given by Leona’s tour will raise his profile massively. It’s a hugely sought-after slot.

“Shaheen is over the moon to have been asked.”

Leona, 24, will start her tour next year and is reportedly planning 14 months of gigs. The tour’s production will allegedly have a Garden of Eden theme.

U2’s political message

The Irish rock band who is kicking off their world tour in Thailand has been advising fans to take a stand with regards to the imprisonment of Aung Sang Suu Kyi. The following statement can be read on U2’s official website: “Wear it to work or college. Wear it on the bus or the train. Wear it in the pub or at shops. And don’t forget. Bring it to a U2 show.” This reffers to the Suu Kyi masks U2 is encouraging their fans to wear. Wow this sounds so V for Vendetta-ish… one must wonder, is there a revolution coming?

More Dates with Kylie Minogue

Kylie Minogue recently announced on her website that she’s adding even more concerts in South America. She says “After a fantastic 53 date tour throughout Europe, Kylie’s pleased to announce more dates for her South American KylieX2008 Tour this November!” She’s going to be in Colombia on November 1, performing at Bogota Parque Jaime Duque and in Venezuela on November 4, performing at Caracas Poliedro. There’s still no announcement made on whether she’s going to play in the US or Canada. It’s going to be a big travesty if she doesn’t. And how unfair is that? She’s playing practically everywhere already.

Snoop Dogg Banned from Australia

It looks like England isn’t the only place where Snoop Dogg is having visa problems. He can now add Australia to the list of countries who don’t want him. The rapper was refused permission to even apply for a visa to Australia back in 2007 because of his criminal records. Immigration officials recently cleared the way for an October tour visit until a bunch of public complaints came in. A senior immigration official said that “as a result of public concern and interest” the immigration authority will be taking a “more thorough assessment” of Snoop’s character. It looks like Australia’s going to be crossed off his world tour list.

Scott Weiland Screws STP

If you have tickets to the Stone Temple Pilots Reunion Tour, you might want to look into getting a refund. The band recently canceled one of their shows at literally the last minute of 10:15 Pm of the show night. The band merely gave some BS excuse. The band’s people cited inclement weather but that the storms they were attempting to use as scapegoats weren’t impacting the area. STP fans think that lead singer Scott Weiland is back to his old ways of drugs. Fans even mentioned that the singer ranted incoherently between songs, forgot lyrics and fell backward into a drum kit at one point during one of the band’s shows last month.

Madonna Sells Out

The Queen of Pop sells out but she does it in the best way possible. Madonna has reportedly sold 1 million tickets for her upcoming tour. It shows that she’s still got it and why she’s playing stadiums. To date, Madonna has sold out her shows in Mexico City, Paris, Lisbon, New York, Zurich, Boston, Chicago, Denver, East Rutherford, Oakland, Las Vegas, Houston, Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver. Sources are also saying that Madonna is likely going to extend her tour to do more shows in Latin America. The people obviously want Madonna so it shouldn’t be any surprise if her tour does get extended.

Coldplay Gets Delayed

Reports are saying that Coldplay has been forced to postpone the start of their North American tour by 2 weeks due to some so-called production delays. The tour will now kick off in LA on July 14th. The band’s tour was supposed to wrap up in Chicago on August 4th but will instead come to an end that same day in Boston. Tickets for the thrown out dates will be valid for the new ones and refunds are also available at points of purchase. There’s an updated itinerary posted on Coldplay’s website. The band’s previously announced free shows in London on June 16, Barcelona on June 17 and New York on June 23 will go on as planned.

Kylie Minogue kicks off

Kylie Minogue kicked off her long-awaited tour

Kylie Minogue kicked off her long-awaited tour last night with ex-boyfriend Olivier Martinez in the audience.

The French actor – who split from the singer in February 2007 – joined 10,000 fans at Paris’ Bercy Stadium, in France, at the opening night of ‘KylieX2008′.

An onlooker said: ‘Olivier looked on very proudly as Kylie wowed fans with the show, which was spectacular.’

Kylie – who recently denied claims she had rekindled her romance with Olivier, insisting they were just friends - opened the show above the stage in a full-length purple gown amid green wires in a gold hoop as she performed ‘Speakerphone’ from her latest album ‘X’. As well as singing a host of her classic hits including ‘Can’t Get You Out Of My Head’ and ‘Step Back In Time’, the Australian beauty thrilled the crowd with her own version of Barry Manilow’s ‘Copacabana’.

The tour has cost over $20 million to stage and includes 53 dates across Europe, concluding with a six-night residency at London’s O2 arena ending in August.

It is her first full tour since being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005. Kylie – who on Monday was pronounced a Knight in the Order of Arts and Letters in France – recently revealed she was counting down the days until the tour started.

The ‘Wow’ singer said: “The countdown has begun!! Not long now before opening night for ‘KylieX2008′!!!! My cast, crew and I have been working hard to really make this show ’spectacular’ for you. Full production rehearsals are coming up and we are very excited to merge all the various elements of the show.”

KT Tunstall on Tour

KT Tunstall performed at the Hammersmith Apollo on Friday in London, England. KT just completed a month-long stride touring around Australasia and the Far East. But her work doesn’t stop there. The ‘Suddenly I See’ singer will now be heading to the rest of Europe, the US and later on Canada for the continuation of her tour. KT’s becoming pretty popular these days. She went on the record to say “One of the weirdest things ever just happened yesterday. I got an e-mail from my manager, the subject of which was the Dalai Lama, and the message said, ‘He wants to meet you!’”
