Jedward memorabilia sells like hotcakes

SPL140375_012

Entrepreneurs ahead of the pack are hocking a range of Jedward items.

The twins, while not always popular, are the talk of the town as their next X-Factor heat approaches this weekend. The unofficial merchandise was reported to be selling fast.

It includes I Love Jedward badges, Team Jedward T-shirts and Jedward noodles.

Lawyers for the show are meanwhile said to be moving quickly to halt the enterprise, which brings The X-Factor no return.

Iron-on John and Edward transfers are available at a steal, while on e-Bay a personalised hoodie sells in eight colours for £18.50.

Other Jedward gadgets include mugs and a Jedward Christmas card.

Robbie Williams shows former band’s tattoo on TV

SPL85677_003

Robbie Williams has revealed a tattoo that reads Take That - the strongest indication yet that he wants to return to the band that made his name. Williams is on a strong comeback trail after appearing on the X-Factor to rave reviews. He showed off the small musical tattoo on his right forearm in an interview with BBC-1 talk show host Jonathan Ross. He clenched his arm in a gesture of intent. When he was asked about a reunion he guardedly replied: “I can’t say much - but yes, I hope so.” Williams met up with the four remaining members of the band last year. Last December he said: “It was amazing. We’ve all matured a lot. The differences we’ve had have just melted away. I celebrated by getting a Take That symbol tattooed on my right arm.” Of his performance on the X-Factor, during which he visibly sweated, he said: “I get incredibly nervous. It wasn’t drugs or drink - just deer in the headlights.”

Cheryl Cole is #1

Girls Aloud member and X Factor judge Cheryl Cole has a lot to celebrate. The singer is now one of the few female artists ever to achieve simultaneously a UK number 1 single and album. I expected absolutely nothing less from her. Cheryl’s debut solo album ‘3 Words’ opened in the top spot while her single ‘Fight for this Love’ arrived at number 1 last week. The single has also been dubbed the UK’s fastest selling single of the year and has held on to the top honor for the second week. Congratulations Cheryl! I wonder if any of her band mates can match what she’s done.

Cheryl Cole is reportedly set to take Simon Cowell’s place on the X Factor when he quits, it has been claimed

SPL93562_006

Cheryl Cole is reportedly set to take Simon Cowell’s place on the X Factor when he quits, it has been claimed.

Cheryl, 25, is currently filming her second series of the show after joining the line-up last year. Her act, Alexandra Burke, went on to win the show and Cheryl became the favourite judge with the public.

It is claimed Simon, 49, has made it clear that Cheryl will be the main face of the show when he steps down to set up a global TV empire with Topshop boss Sir Philip Green.

Cheryl and Simon are judges on the hit British talent show along with Aussie singer Dannii Minogue, 37, and Irish music mogul Louis Walsh, 56.

A pal of Cowell’s said: “He has found X Factor increasingly draining and it leaves him little time for serious business. Now he’s decided this will be his last series and he’s moving on.

“In future, he will have a more overseeing role.”

Alexandra Burke’s welcome home party

The winner of the X-Factor is apparently going to spend the fabulous sum of seventy five thousand dollars on her welcome home party when she returns to the UK. A source said the following about Alexandra Burke’s upcoming bash: “Alex hasn’t been home for months after working on her album, which is due out in the autumn. Her family can’t wait for her to get back and want to celebrate with the mother of all parties.” Ah, so it’s not just Alexandra Burke that will be spending on the party, but the whole family. Bring on the keg and let the good times roll, after all, it’s not everyday an X-Factor winner returns to the UK.

SPL57185_023

Simon Cowell has revealed there will be a new format to The X Factor this year.

The 49-year-old is a judge on the British talent show and revealed contestants at the audition stage will now have an audience to appear in front of as well as the judging panel.

He said: “I decided that we were going to change the way we do the auditions. We made a decision that we are now going to do the auditions in front of a live audience.”

Cowell also said there isn’t tension and conflict between the show’s female judges Dannii Minogue and Cheryl Cole.

He said: “Girls are girls. They always want to be the centre of attention. I don’t think anyone has ended up best friends but they don’t hate each other. I think they like each other now.”

Simon Cowell to give up American Idol?

What would American Idol be like without Simon Cowell? Simon Cowell may be the villain among the four American Idol judges but there is no denying that he has provided the flavor to the talent search which made millions of fans tune in again and again just so they can hear his caustic remarks. However, Simon Cowell may have already decided to give up the show in favor of his two other shows.

Simon Cowell said he is doing three shows a year and they involve a lot of translantic and domestic traveling. He said he likes all the shows—American Idol, X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent. However, Simon Cowell said he may have to drop one and that would most likely be American Idol since he only has one more year to go based on his contract. Simon Cowell said he is thankful he has these jobs but he is no longer sure he can keep up with the schedule.
