Britney Spears went crazy on Twitter this past weekend as she kept hyping us about this amazing new iPhone application of hers. The app has several features, including a ‘Be Britney’s Dancer’ feature which places your face over one of the pop star’s dancers and something called ‘The Sparkler’ that you’re supposed to activate when you go to one of the singer’s concerts. It sparkles. The best part about it is it also yells out “It’s Britney, bitch!” when you shake your phone! That’s a riot! It also gives you updates on what’s going on with the life of Britney.

Rihanna’s concert tour rider has been revealed, all thanks to The Smoking Gun. The 21-year old Barbadian singer requests for a lot to be in her dressing room but at least they’re not over the top. Among the things listed on her rider as 24 buffalo wings with hot sauce on the side, 1 whole roasted chicken spiced with jerk season and cut into parts and steamed white rice, 1 bag of good quality tortilla chips, 1 small bag of salted plantain chips, and 1 bag of fire hot crunchy Cheetos brand cheese doodles. The rider also says that Rihanna may ask for hard boiled eggs, turkey bacon and turkey sausage at any time throughout the day so organizers better be prepared. It’s obvious she loves food.

Britney Spears’ first tour in Australia continues to feel the heat and it’s making the pop star upset. After being criticized by the media for lip synching and reports of fans walking out of her concert, the singer’s tour promoter quickly came to her defense saying “Britney is aware of all this and she’s extremely upset by it. She’s a human being. I’m embarrassed, with such a big international entourage here with Britney, to be part of the Australian media when I see that kind of totally inaccurate reporting.” Britney has always lip synched her performance and everyone is aware of that. So what’s with all the fuss?
Posted in Chris Brown, Concert, Tickets Sale on the November 9, 2009
Chris Brown’s upcoming comeback tour is turning out to be a flop in sales. Tickets went on sale last week and insiders are saying that the numbers were utterly pathetic. I could have told them that even before the tickets went out. Last year, the R&B singer was selling out 20,000 seat arenas and now, he can’t even sell out 1000-2500 seat venues. Every concert date listed on Ticketmaster still has a lot of seats available. I have a feeling that a huge part of this tour, if not the whole tour itself, is going to end up cancelled. It’s obvious that no one is welcoming him back with open arms that easily.

Leona Lewis gave a fantastic performance at her first solo gig in London on Monday, for which she got a standing ovation for. The singer spoke to the audience to thank them for their support, saying “I just want to say thank you so much for coming to support me. The first time I ever performed here I was 13 so it seemed fitting for me to come back here.” The concept for her concert was amazing too! Leona appeared on stage in a black hooded cape with large images of herself projected on a see-through screen. Congratulations on the success of your solo show!
Posted in Michael Jackson, Music on the November 3, 2009
The female guitarist, who was chosen by Michael Jackson to play in his This Is It band, has spoken about the moment she heard he had died.

Orianthi Panagaris - a 24-year-old, blonde rocker from Adelaide - had been working with the music legend less than 24-hours before his sudden death.
On the day that he died - 25 June - she said that she had been getting ready for another evening of rehearsals.
She said: “I was actually getting ready for rehearsals.
“I was on Skype with my parents and… they said he had passed and I just started crying.
“I was like: ‘Is this serious?’ And my heart just sank. And it was like… How can he have passed when he was actually fine?’ There were no hints.”
She added: “It was very difficult. It was a life-changing experience to work with someone like Michael Jackson.”
Panagaris features heavily in Jacko’s box-office smash documentary This Is It, taken from hours of rehearsals for the star’s O2 shows. She also played at the late star’s memorial concert this summer.
She said: “He was very personable, very friendly and such a perfectionist. He wanted to make sure that everything was right with his band… and put on the ultimate show.”
She added: “I wish he was still with us. It was going to be the biggest show on earth.”

Bruce Springsteen cancelled a concert in Kansas City earlier this week after his cousin, Lenny Sullivan was found dead in his hotel room. The singer announced the death on his official website, saying that there was a death in the family. The statement was later updated to say “Lenny Sullivan, Bruce’s cousin and the assistant road manager of the E Street Band for the last ten years, passed away today at the age of 36. A warm and sensitive person, he was beloved by Bruce, the Band, the crew, and the entire Thrill Hill family.” Lenny worked for Bruce and his band for 10 years as an assistant tour manager. The circumstances surrounding his death are currently still under investigation.

Lady Gaga’s upcoming tour is sure to be like nothing you’ve ever seen before. The singer herself describes it as a “multimedia artistic experience”. The pop princess recently had an interview with Rolling Stone to discuss her album and the tour. When asked how she came about the concept for the concerts, she said “I wanted to really put together a show that would be the most beautiful, expensive-looking, delicious show, but that my fans wouldn’t have to pay a ton of money to come see. So we’re playing a few nights in a row. I’ve got super loyal fans, so I feel this tremendous obligation to take care of them.”

California, US: U2 have confirmed via video blog that their sold-out concert at the Pasadena Rose Bowl in California, Sunday 25th October 2009 will be streamed free, in full and live on YouTube. It’s the first time a show of this size will be streamed live.
The Rose Bowl show is the penultimate U2 show this year - with more to come in 2010 - and already is set to host the venue’s biggest ever audience of over 96, 000 fans. The 360? Tour, which has been critically acclaimed and “re-invents rock’n’roll”*, will now boast unique access for fans worldwide - as fans in territories yet to be visited by the tour, or not at all, will be able to enjoy the whole show online. Managed in partnership with Live Nation, this sell-out tour has broken attendance records in most venues it has visited - its success due in part to increased capacity coupled with a lower ticket price and great sight lines afforded by the stunning in-the-round stage set. Visit U2.com or youtube.com/u2official for details of how to join in this ground-breaking on-line event.
U2 manager Paul McGuinness said - “The band has wanted to do something like this for a long time. As we’re filming the LA show, it’s the perfect opportunity to extend the party beyond the stadium. Fans often travel long distances to come to see U2 - this time U2 can go to them, globally.”
YouTube will be streaming live across five continents. The show will be available in the usual You Tube way, as video-on-demand, following two full replays - after the live stream - on both U2.com and You Tube.
“YouTube is thrilled to be able to provide our global audience with a live streaming performance from one of the world’s greatest bands” - Chris Maxcy, Director of YouTube Partner Development. “We are always looking for new ways to connect fans around the world with their favourite artists, and this is the perfect opportunity to do just that.”

The Kanye West and Lady Gaga ‘Fame Kills’ tour has been cancelled as concert promoters Live Nation confirmed recently. No official reason has been given for the cancellation. Refunds are available at the point of purchase. Tickets purchased online and via phone will be refunded automatically. Well that’s a bummer. It would have been an epic joint tour. I wonder if the bad press that the rapper has been getting has anything to do with it. If I was Lady Gaga, I know I wouldn’t want to get associated with that kind of guy. Could this be the end of Kanye’s career?

Lady Gaga is in the middle of a very messy million dollar lawsuit. An Irish entertainment company called Grooveyard claims that they were looking to book talent for October concerts in Belfast and Dublin when they struck a deal with a New York based company claiming to rep the singer. The company claims that they shelled out $320,000 to book Lady Gaga but now they think that the guy who took the check may have fooled them. Grooveyard claims that after they began promoting the shows, AEG Live hit them with a cease and desist letter saying that AEG has the sole authority to book Lady Gaga.
