The music video for the song ‘Video Phone’ starring Beyonce and Lady Gaga is out and it is hot! The princess of pop recently spoke to MTV about working with Beyonce, saying “She is such a beautiful person. I had kind of lost faith a little bit in meeting artists in the business – and then I met Beyonce.” If you got what the singer was saying, she pretty much gave some mad props to her fellow artist. I wonder how Beyonce feels about that and what she has to say about Lady Gaga. Then again, I highly doubt there’s anyone who can say a bad thing about her.

Lady Gaga played a pink piano at the MOCA New 30th Anniversary Gala at LA’s Museum of Contemporary Art this past weekend. The 23-year old singer performed her new song ‘Speechless’ alongside Italian artist Francesco Vezzoli while members of Russia’s Bolshoi ballet troupe danced to the music. The pop princess talked about the performance to the Wall Street Journal saying “For me, art is a lie, and the artists are there to create lies we kill when we make it true. Francesco and I were like warriors on stage, trying to make a true moment. Art is life, life is art. The question is, what came first?”

Britney Spears went crazy on Twitter this past weekend as she kept hyping us about this amazing new iPhone application of hers. The app has several features, including a ‘Be Britney’s Dancer’ feature which places your face over one of the pop star’s dancers and something called ‘The Sparkler’ that you’re supposed to activate when you go to one of the singer’s concerts. It sparkles. The best part about it is it also yells out “It’s Britney, bitch!” when you shake your phone! That’s a riot! It also gives you updates on what’s going on with the life of Britney.

Lady Gaga knows exactly what’s going on in the world and that’s why the pop princess has plans on bringing each and everyone a little bit of joy by releasing a reasonably-priced standard version of her new album ‘The Fame Monster’. The singer said in a statement “In the midst of my creative journey composing The Fame Monster, there came an exciting revelation that this was in fact my sophomore album. I would not add, nor take away any songs from this EP. It is a complete conceptual and musical body of work that can stand on its own two feet. It doesn’t need The Fame… We may have an economy, but music has no economy. I will release four or more singles from The Fame Monster, tour the world with the Monster Ball Tour and most importantly, I insist on honoring my fans with an affordable new album, an album that is as loyal to them, as they have been me.”

Britney Spears’ first tour in Australia continues to feel the heat and it’s making the pop star upset. After being criticized by the media for lip synching and reports of fans walking out of her concert, the singer’s tour promoter quickly came to her defense saying “Britney is aware of all this and she’s extremely upset by it. She’s a human being. I’m embarrassed, with such a big international entourage here with Britney, to be part of the Australian media when I see that kind of totally inaccurate reporting.” Britney has always lip synched her performance and everyone is aware of that. So what’s with all the fuss?

There’s very little to be heard of Lady Gaga’s highly anticipated appearance on ‘Gossip Girl’. Apart from the cast confirming that the singer will be on the show, they remained coy about the details. Now, there are details from the pop princess herself. During a recent interview, Lady Gaga talked about her cameo, saying “I hate TV series performances, because they kind of come in out of nowhere, and everyone’s, like, really into the story, and then all of a sudden somebody breaks into song. And it has nothing to do with the storyline, and then it screws everything up. I really sat down with the writers. I was like, ‘Look, I want to do this, and the reason I want to do this is because I am trying to say something that is not mainstream in a mainstream capacity. So, if I can say it on your show, that would be, like, a real coup d’état for me as a performance artist.’”

It seems that Adam Lambert has really gone far-off with his career ever since he competed in American Idol… he didn’t even win first place, either. It seems that Adam Lambert has recently released a video for his song, “Time for Miracles”, which will actually be featured on the upcoming movie’s “2012” soundtrack. Really smooth for Adam Lambert… new album, soundtrack songs, the guy has really done great. Simon Cowell must be very, very proud… while twisting his moustache and pondering world-domination scenarios. Adam Lambert really is a true product of American Idol and an inspiration to future generations of music-industry front-line workers. The system salutes him!

She just couldn’t hold it in any longer, could she? Well, she did make it on the front cover. It seems that even though a talk about “the event” with Rihanna was promised for Thursday morning, the singer took the opportunity to spill her guts in Glamour magazine where she did an interview in which she talked about the whole Chris Brown-related incident. When asked about how it had changed her, Rihanna replied the following: I’m stronger, wiser and more aware. You don’t realize how much your decisions affect people you don’t even know, like fans.” Yes, woe unto the fans of Rihanna for now they have to put up with her not-so satisfying new music. Chris Brown definitely managed to really hit a soft spot there!

Just several yards away from where Michael Jackson was to have his epic ‘This Is It’ performances, the King of Pop will have his personal belongings on display at London’s O2 Bubble. The exhibit will feature some of the late singer’s most prized treasures for fans to enjoy. Among some of the items will be a letter from Ronald Reagan from 1984, wishing Michael a quick recovery after his hair was set on fire, an oil painting of the icon dressed as a king, his trademark jewelled gloves and a pair of shoes with part of the heel cut out used when Michael performed his hit ‘Smooth Criminal’.

Madonna was spotted this Monday in Malawi at the ground breaking ceremony for her Raising Malawi Academy for Girls. The Queen of Pop was there in support of her new center and even helped plant a tree at the location. She just keeps doing some good. Although I’m getting tired of all the similarities between her and Oprah. The singer arrived in South Africa this past weekend with her kids Lourdes, Rocco, David and Mercy. Her fifth kid, Jesus Luz, was noticeably absent though. I wonder if she’s going to head into some orphanages and adopt another kid out of the country.

Here’s some big news for fans of ‘Glee’. Madonna has given the Fox hit TV show the rights to her entire music catalog. I wonder if this means that there will be an episode strictly with the singer’s music in the works. In a word – yes! The all Queen of Pop episode of ‘Glee’ is said to air early next year. I can’t wait to find out which of Madonna’s songs they will be using. Moreover, I can’t wait to hear their renditions of them. Here’s to hoping that Cory Monteith’s dancing will have improved by then. What songs do you want to see on the show?

Lady Gaga’s upcoming tour is sure to be like nothing you’ve ever seen before. The singer herself describes it as a “multimedia artistic experience”. The pop princess recently had an interview with Rolling Stone to discuss her album and the tour. When asked how she came about the concept for the concerts, she said “I wanted to really put together a show that would be the most beautiful, expensive-looking, delicious show, but that my fans wouldn’t have to pay a ton of money to come see. So we’re playing a few nights in a row. I’ve got super loyal fans, so I feel this tremendous obligation to take care of them.”

Apparently, it was a very short hearing. Probably not wanting to go against any irrefutable evidence, Lil Wayne just went ahead and pleaded guilty to the possession charges and admitted that he did indeed have a loaded semi-automatic .40 caliber gun on board one of his tour buses two years ago. Apparently, Lil Wayne is facing one years of prison for this one but his sentence will be given in February and he’ll remain free until then. Maybe he’ll decide to confess to some other problems he has with the law, namely charges of drug possession and another of weapon possession. He’s pleaded not guilty to those, but he still has time to change his mind.

Karen George, a neighbor of Madonna’s, has slapped the Queen of Pop with a lawsuit claiming that the singer has transformed her Central Park West apartment into a rehearsal space and that the entire building has to put up with her blaring music, stomping and shaking walls daily. According to the legal documents, “unreasonably high-decibel, amplified music” seeps through the walls, ceilings and radiators for three hours a day. The co-op board has reportedly threatened Madonna with the consequence of eviction with the entire building fuming over the daily dance parties. I love Madonna but only at a reasonable volume and time.

Britney Spears’ latest single ‘3’ from her upcoming collection ‘The Singles’ has debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart! The pop singer is the first artist in over three years to debut at the top spot. The last one to have done that was American Idol winner Taylor Hicks with ‘Do I Make You Proud’ from 2006. This is also Britney’s third time at the top of mountain on the Billboard Hot 100. ‘…Baby One More Time’ was at the number one spot in 1999 and ‘Womanizer’ ruled just last year. It looks like three is the lucky number for her. Congratulations!

Michael Jackson’s estate just got a partner that it wasn’t expecting because it’s just been said that Paul Anka is now a 50% partner for the publishing rights to ‘This is It’. The singer will also get other profits but the publishing rights are usually the biggest ticket and sources say that the King of Pop’s estate has agreed that Paul gets half of it. I bet that Paul wasn’t expecting that when he woke up. Sadly for Sony, they didn’t either. But it’s just fair. Paul did write the song with Michael. They could find themselves in an even bigger mess if they didn’t acknowledge that.

Lady Gaga will be performing at the Museum of Contemporary Art’s 30th anniversary gala in Los Angeles on November 14 with the Bolshoi Ballet and artist Francesco Vezzoli. Vezzoli spoke of the upcoming performance saying “They basically offered me a social ritual as a blank canvas to be turned into an artwork. Some artists might see this as a nightmare, but for me it’s like a surreal dream, and in true surreal style I wanted to mix together the youngest and most daring pop icon, Lady GaGa, with the oldest and most classically trained group of dancers in the world, the Bolshoi Ballet…The output will be flawlessly imperfect and unpredictable, just like any overambitious happening should be.”

Last week, a major piece of Michael Jackson memorabilia sold for a major amount of money. An illuminating glove that the King of Pop wore on his 1984 Victory tour sold for $70,800 at an auction in Los Angeles. Some of the other items up for grabs was a Martin d-28 guitar used by Elvis during his last performance in Las Vegas which sold for $106,200, a bull whip used by Harrison Ford in the ‘Indiana Jones’ movies which sold for $56,050 and a full Velociraptor from ‘Jurassic Park’ which sold for $76,700. Apparently, whoever bought those things haven’t heard of the recession.

Not only has Christina Aguilera lent her voice and image to a PSA for the World Hunger Relief campaign, but the pop singer has also just returned from a trip to Guatemala where she witnessed starvation and malnutrition first hand. She said “I wanted to see with my own eyes what hunger means. As a mom my heart just breaks when I see how young mothers… struggle to feed their children. I don’t think I can ever forget these images. The people of WFP do such a great job helping hungry children and mothers. I’m thankful for the opportunity to be part of such a wonderful project and incredible team.”

In order to promote the upcoming Michael Jackson documentary, ‘This Is It’, the single that the King of Pop recorded to coincide with his planned summer tour is soon going to be released. The single was put on the shelf after the singer’s death in June but since the remixed vocals and added orchestral accompaniment, LA producers feel that it is ready for the public’s ear. A source said “It sounds awesome. The size and scope of the orchestra hasn’t been seen since Ray Charles recorded Georgia. Everyone expects a huge hit. But they’re worried about it getting out - they’ve hired huge bodyguards to stand by the studio door.”
